They announced two shows (in Canada)earlier this week. more to come. If you have never been to a tool show i suggest you try to make it to just one in your life.

I'll keep this updated as they announce more cities. Time to bust open that savings account again.

REXALL PLACE EDMONTON, AB WEDNESDAY, JULY 7, 2010
GENERAL MOTORS PLACE VANCOUVER, BC FRIDAY, JULY 9, 2010

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes fuck yeah. could this day get any better?
tonight is the biggest dj gig of my life and now tool is going on tour
You can bet they will be doing some Cali shows as they always do. I think they only did one cali show last tour so they might make up for that and do a few shows, but who the fuck knows what that group is doing. I just hope I am able to go to another show or two.
Quote: Tool was described by Patrick Donovan of The Age as "the thinking person's metal band. Cerebral and visceral, soft and heavy, melodic and abrasive, tender and brutal, familiar and strange, western and eastern, beautiful and ugly, taut yet sprawling and epic, they are a tangle of contradictions."
yeah i can't tell you how useful some of the philosophies and ideas posed by tool in their music, as well as my own personal interpretations of them have been to me in my life and relationships.
never had a chance to see them live

Did you see them during the late 2002 tour when they rolled down the alex grey screens and had that giant ball for parabol(a)? that shit was epic. It was the first real concert I ever went to. Nothing has come close to that show.
NI, you must have been going through a scalper or ebay? Ticketmaster doesn't sell em for that much unless it's a vip seat. I think they are like up to 60 bucks normally, but they sell out pretty quick.

I wont be attending any of those dates.
I will prob be making the drive up to San fran, and the best part is my girl will be in the country. I go to so many epic concerts/parties without her it'll be nice to finally have her around.

i could get a flight out to SF for $250. plus the $50 ticket would be 300. plus some gas money would be 50 or so. i would only miss 8 hours of work too. i could make that up over the week. This is something to consider. I would only need something to do from the time after the show until about 5:00 am. this is a dream atm. i am not sure if you were truly serious about a ride. I guess they have that bart system up there i could use if nothing else.
if they announce a date or two closer to me i will take those up instead. but SF usually gets a good show from what i've heard and seen. i think the last time they played there jello biafra came out and they covered holiday in cambodia. that was cool. i can post a copy of that if anyone wants it.

If i am able to snag tickets than I am absolutely serious about the ride, from what i've heard tehy are usually gone within seconds of going on sale but I will be waiting by the computer on standby hoping to snag a pair.
and hell yeah i would love to see jello biafra tool doing holiday in cambodia.
