How would one go about doing this? The active alkaloids would need to be dissolved in something, but I'm looking for this to be non-alcoholic. Is glycerin safe to ingest? I'm basically looking for a sports drink that one could consume post workout that would replenish electrolytes and potassium, but with the soothing, relaxing effect of THC as well.

and I dunno if glycerin is soluble in water

Here's a thought; Dissolve the thc into everclear to make an alcohol based tincture. Then dissolve the alcohol tincture into the drink and let it sit out overnight so the alcohol evaporates. I'll need to test but I think this should work at making a potent sports drink that's high in thc but devoid of alcohol.

I read somewhere an that one can mix cannabutter with honey and then mix it into tea. It doesn't taste very good but it gets the job done apparently.

I was wondering about something like BHO being dissolved into a fructose syrup of some kind. I bet honey would be a pretty decent bet.
I may have to try this out tonight. I"m going to dissolve a little bit of my bubble hash into some vodka right now (shitty ass test, I know. But I don't want to buy everclear unless I see some sort of results with this).

Do you know how hot the alcohol has to be before making it inactive, like in rum balls or cakes.
If you can heat the everclear to remove the alcoholic effect but not destroy the THC then you could make a big bottle of concentrate and add it to your drink whenever you go out.

Also this is pretty far out there but you could try making a kombucha THC drink. I'm not sure if you know what kombucha is but it's like a super healthy low alcohol % drink made from mushroom colonies or something.. I'm not too positive, my friend grows it in his fridge. It tastes pretty good and it's awesome for you.

Since it's like .7% alcohol maybe you could get THC in there. That solves the healthy part and the THC part.
Although I don't think kombucha has any electrolytes in it, it might be worth a shot.

Thanks for the kombucha link! very interesting stuff, I'm definitely going to look into it more.
Something else I'm curious about- today at the cannabis convention I found a company selling thc-laden beverages that apparently get you high. I naturally asked them tons of questions because I'm extremely interested in this but unfortunately they only sent cute girls to attract the horny men, so none of the reps at the booth had ANY fucking clue what their product contained or how it was made.
however, I did notice that every single drink regardless of flavor contained some aloe vera. Do you guys think that's just for the health benefits or would aloe vera act as a sort of alcohol to dissolve the active alkaloids?

As a silly kid my self and a mate got some weed  7gs to 10gs nice bud, we put about 500mls of water in the pot and boiled it with the weed for about 10 to 20 mins we were left with about 100mls of water we then had one shot each and we were so fucked it was not funny, after 3 hours we were vomiting and could not move and high all through the next day.... a week later we boiled the same bud and got fucked up again just as bad........... (we have never done it again) just boil it in water and then add to ya sports drink, all this scientific crap is a waste of time when it clearly works in boiled water alone, no butter, no crap just bloody water

Oops, I just rang my mate to lol about it and he said we put a table spoon of honey in the water at start so yeah sorry for the stuff up. But thats gonna work still anyway, just add the end water to the gatorade and if it doesnt work try using a female plant

Hmmmmmm you could always go for "full flavor" and market that one first see if it takes off and then make others, there are flavors out there that will mask any disgustingness as long as you can get it sweet enough to fuse together then its a go.

Ive heard of people making drinks with spent plant material after making hash
Cause in theory the THC would be gone but the other cannabinoids that are water soluble will be there
But I think a small amount of everclear would suffice, Not sure how it would turn out after evaporating
Im guessing there would be a thin film of oil on top of the remaining drink once the alcohol is gone

I was thinking about just evaporating it so the drink is down to around .5% alcohol by volume because then it's technically alcohol "free" but that still doesn't help for people with alcohol allergies.
Vegetable glycerin seems to be my best bet at this point since it's a sugar alcohol that's still water soluble. Check out the Cannaglis drops thread, apparently you can make a very potent tincture that's edible and still water soluble. Sounds like the best bet

I have some vegetable glycerin and some propylene glycol on hand right now. Is there anything you want me to test out before yours gets to you? I have VG,PG,151,little bit of bud, so if you want me to test anything out I would be more then happy to. I also have tons of flavoring too!

Yeah, I'm kinda glad he bumped this because I'm real interested in trying this now haha.
It seems to me like the alcohol idea would work (with the evaporation) but I dunno. I don't really have enough bud laying around to fuck with it...
Then again, I'd prolly just mix a shot of Green Dragon in with my Gatorade because I don't have that alcohol allergy thing. That must suck for people
