So I am on my first grow that isn't just an experiment or half assed, and it is going successfully. I am currently in the flowering stage and the strain I'm using is Ice. I'm not exactly sure where in the flowering cycle the plant is but the buds seem a bit undeveloped and the pistils are starting to turn red. So my main question is how would I know when the plant is on its last two weeks of flowering, should the trichomes be a certain color or are there other signs I need to pay attention to. I want to flush the soil out the last two weeks of flowering so the taste isn't affected but I also want the buds to grow to their maximum potential, this is why I ask. Thanks all input appreciated.
Thanks Coda for the response. I know I'm should flush within the last two weeks of harvest my question is more directed at figuring out when the last two weeks would be, are there any signs I should be looking for? Thanks.
I'd say when 60-70% of the trichomes look the way you want them too. Best way to tell if your plant is ready for you to smoke is to look at the resin heads with a pocket microscope.
