I am beginning research today. All info is appreciated.
I am interested in something to power say ... a 1000 watt hid + a 216 watt ho t5 setup, but allowing room for expansion. I am researching this for a friend who has run into a very large sum of money so the price tag associated with most solar setups won't be an issue.
Just thought I'd drop a line here before I browse the net.
Peace FJ

it's extremely environmentally friendly to use solar power, but unless this grow room is going to be in continuous operation for 20+ years your investment won't likely pay off. I understand that money isn't an issue for this friend, but I see no reason for him to drop $30,000 on a solar array when he could have an equally high-caliber grow room for only about $2000, and then get something else fantastic with his money

The sun is used to produce electricity. Just kidding man. Just thought I would give you a free bump.
Thanks for the feed back guys.....and the bump trip
All of you are spot on with the info.
I didn't find anything on a small enough scale that could supply the constant flow of power needed. So unless we wanna clear cut a two acre field in his backyard and slam it full'ah solar panels....it ain't happenin. I guess it was worth lookin into.
