Took a macro, as well as the pictures for tomorrow's update.

I thought about it for a while and came to the fact that I'm spreading my light out too far, so now I'm going to tie the HPS off to one side, and switch after 6 hours, so each half gets much more intense light for 6 hours and still gets ok light for the other 6, more like the sun.  I am doing it as an experiment and really think it will improve on bud growth.

Anyways here's a picture or two.



I'm more than satisfied with the smell of these plants, and resin production is doing great as well.  3-4 weeks left I'd say.

That's a great overall cab shot. Best one you have taken yet of the whole setup. Can't wait to see it fill out. :thumbup:

Thanks man, I thought it came out well too for some reason.  My lens was dirty and after I cleaned it, the auto-focus feature seemed to work better.

Do you want me to take one from further back so you can get an idea of then entire space?

Man, that's the reason I can't sleep at night lately.  I've been thinking about that so much.  All I need to do is buy a reflector and I can use my friends spare ballast.  The reflector he bought, is almost the exact same dimensions as my interior dimensions, so if I modified the reflector it would be easy to cool if it's a near seal up against the walls.

Man even a 250 would suffice.

Is that 150W you have now internally ballasted? like one of those sunsystem jobbers? Too bad....

you can find a good reflector for under $100 nowadays too

Yeah it is, but the actual ballast doesn't put off much heat at all, it's all from the bulb...  I should have been manually moving the light from side to side before, I think it's going to help me...

Who knows.  I'm really only growing these for experience and to hold me over until my growing season starts around here.  I just like the freedom of growing under the sun.  No wiring to worry about, no fans, nothing, just fresh air and warm sunshine.

Pictures from day 37 or 38 of 12/12

Enjoy!  I just gave them a full strength feeding (Day 40 today) of FN Bloom and Cha Ching, w/ Molasses.  I hope I see more swelling but some of the original calyx's are really swollen, I like how this bud swells!  I love buds that have this structure, super resin coated too.  I'm going to be so pleased w/ the final product, I'll tell you that up front, it's probably the dankest bud I have ever grown, but just wait, I have a real strong feeling things are really going to pick up in the next 2 weeks...

I'm wondering how the different Kush strains are going to do comparing them with each other. I am starting a few of the F1 and F2 kush and berry strains soon, and some parent strains, too, like the Afghan Kush, and Black Domina.
There are really getting to be a lot of Kushes lately. Still the best seller though.

I really do think I have it maxed out with the lighting I have.  If I had a 250 in there, my buds would probably be twice the size... Ah well, what can ya do, I don't have a job but if I can score $70 for a reflector I can have a 400 going...  :drooling:

I took a couple pictures just now in the dark cycle real quick, since I gave them a massive feeding, they have REALLY started packing on the trichomes, and since I started moving the light from one side to the other like a light rail, I have noticed stimulation from the buds!  I knew it would work.  I have already noticed some bulking in 2 days.  The strain is also a late bloomer it seems as well, but I'm definitely seeing the majority of the buds, seem to be Bubba dominant.  I can just tell by looking at them and their structure, and from seeing many Bubba Kush grow logs on IC.  I hope I get a tint of purple if I let them go the distance!  I think the final product is going to be quite elite, definitely seems like the frostiest I may have grown, but we'll see.  I'm sure they still have a lot of work to do, but that's fine with me.  I haven't taken a sample yet but I plan to soon :wink:

oh yeah those really coming along man.

I never realized that was just a 150 up there?!?!!! getting some nice results never the less I would like to see what magash's shit does under a 400, oh wait I have seen that already in his pics (prolly he uses 1kw's ehh?)

Anyways they are officially frostier then mine now, by a good ways too. I can't wait for my next cycle when I have some more resources and have my cannabis kung-fu  up to snuff. Whatever strain I have has some potential but I know I missed the boat by burning it and not keeping the temps controlled as well as I should.

How many colas do you think you will harvest from that box? I am curious to compare your scrog with my LST only efforts and then again when I have the screen in my box next time around.

Oh my such awesome responses you guys rock, thank you!

It won't be long now 2 weeks, maybe a little longer for some.  I was forced to sample, since I can't go a day w/out smoking and haven't been able to get any for a couple days.  I only take the smallest little one hitter sized nugs from the bottom of the canopy, that won't really produce anyhow.  It's even frosty as fuck down in that mass, what a strain!  Each pheno smells different but all amazing nonetheless, and I can't really decide how to describe it.  Sometimes I get a strong whiff of fruitiness, then a hint of berry, and even some more woody/musky scents too.  Very complex, but even the quick dried one hitters I smoked tasted SO GOOD and so smooth compared to my last run, not even close.  I'm fairly fucking baked and it's still got a long way to go.  I'm so excited now that I know it already packs a punch and still has up to 1/3 of the flowering period remaining.  Thank you all for the compliments, really.  It makes me feel a lot more mellow and stop analyzing everything so much, I'm OCD like that.  I think the next update in 4-5 days is going to be a good one.  :wink:
