The main problem with original Rome Total War

I have been playing this game for 4 months.  It has to be the best strategy game I've played so far.  I beat it but am unable to take over the whole map.  I think I am stuck on 68.  The game just shuts off when ending turns.  Anyone taken over the whole map yet?

The whole map?  I can do the full campaign easily.  It's by that time that my territories are loaded up with spies.  That and so much goes on you need a good computer at the end.

I am about to take over the whole map on Barbarian Invasion.  It's a little smaller than the original.

It's actually a very violent game.  You can commit genocide and slavery.  People die in the hundredths at a time.

this guy aside rome total war was a good game.  medieval total war 2 was also good as fuck.

DO you download mods to play games for free or do you use winzip in some way?

I will on to Medieval 2 total war when I am done with Barbarian invasion.  I should just skip the first Medieval right?

I cannot wait for the price to drop on Total War Empires.  They are historically accurate to every detail of Napolean's army.  The french have almost 30 different types of units.

i picked up empire total war its the best in the franchise so far
