I dont listen to tool that often just because of the long pauses with some drone sound effects, Ill be sitting in my car for like 10 minutes then be like wtf why isnt the radio on

Lateralus is great.
I love Prabol + Parabola.
Mantra is a trip listening once you find out that the only noise on that entire track is Maynard squeezing a cat and playing in backwards.

alright man, i haven't seen this thread till now. im not a fan of 10,000 days. that would be the last album id recommend. i think you would probabbly like lateralus the best. but do this. get lateralus and listen to it in order straight through. then do it again and follow the words along with it. Here's the title track from that album with some cool references.
next I would have you check out Pushit The salival version....
Then for a hard psychedelic song check out Third Eye.
Those last two songs are both 12-13 minute songs. There's one version of third eye they did in nevada in 2002 that is 20 minutes long and is fucking epic.

Ehh I just recommened it b/c I was listening to it at the time, and it was pretty nice. But now yeah, I'll just stick with Ænima.
You should also check out Opiate and Undertow.

^yeah, a lot of people love that album more than any other. I'm just not one of htem. as the OPs signature reads.
Actually, if you want the tool experience listen to all the albums first song to last song in order and each album in sequence. here's the list...

well if you really want the tool experience there are a lot of bootlegs i'd recommend that would show you the breadth of their abilities. also, that first one spells satan on the phone pad.

Lateralus and 10000 days are my 2 favorite
