yah, the guys who made these videos got in a bunch of shit for it. Some of the bums featured got their day in court and managed to walk away with a nice chunk of change as well.

they certainly strain the moral values we've set in place. though bumfights is funny (in places) it's easy to see through, and by that i mean the makers are blatantly taking advantage of the homeless for their own needs. their argument is 'well they chose to participate..' fair play, but what goes on behind the scenes isn't always sufficiently evident.

I find it funny that the media pumped it up to the point where it is today. Imagine if they never would have covered the story? Those guys would probably never have gotten a million dollars thats for sure. But as soon as that blonde haired bitch came on national T.V. calling it the most shocking movie ever, of course people are going to run out and buy it. They want to see what she is talking about. So in a sense she is promoting it.
