 straight peat moss?

hello, well ive got a question. ive got the lights,space,ventalation,nutrients etc for growing but no soil. and no money for soil. ive got plenty of peat moss though. would it be wise to use just peat moss? I would think it would be ok as long as ive got the liquid nutrients. ive got fox farm. veg growth and blooming nutes.

In situations like that, i have used outdoor soil and mixed it with whatever i had. Peatmoss is a decent base for soil mixes imo. So if you have any decent earth outside mix it half and half. Should be fine for you to get started with. Maybe later in the grow you will do some transplanting and be able to afford a proper mix by then?

I was using straight peat moss for my seedlings and I noticed that the pots seem to dry up really fast. I've since been using a peat/compost mix. Seems to hold moisture better.
