I haven't thought much about the prize for top place. I'm sure I could easily throw together some shit that you would want. If anyone else want's to throw in a prize you can post it here. Make sure you read and understand all the rules.
Rules:
* One submission per person
* Must be hand rolled - no devices! For this rule we will use a bit of parliamentary procedure. If you see one that you think is rolled with a cig roller then make that motion. If someone seconds the motion then the entry will be disqualified and the user will NOT be permitted another submission. * Please respect this rule and don't friverously make accusations of using a cig roller.
* You can submit special joints such as tulips, a Y-joint, helicopter, whatever. Regular joints are fine too.
* This contest will last 120 days. Sixty days to submit a picture and 60 days of voting. Nominations are no longer taken after August 15, 2009. Voting will close on October 15, 2009.
* Do NOT edit your post! Editing a post with a picture in it will be grounds for disqualification.
Hmm, any rules I forgot? Let's see what you can do!

you cant really tell whos the best joint roller by a picture because ive seen some fucked up joints that hit perfect....and ive seen some perfect looking ones that are hard to hit and they boat....... i dont think this would be a fair competition

i got too much herb for my own good so I was thinking about rolling up a 4 OZ joint with newspapers or mabye using an OZ and using bible paper? i like just thinking of ideas.

Our last night in amsterdam last year saw 5 of us pooling all our left over weed and buying some hash.
There was about 6/7 different types of bud, a g of barney rubble and a g of their violator isolator.
We stuck it all in a blunt skin and this was the result...
I felt like i was mildly tripping by the time we reached the end.

Here's a joint I rolled several years ago in Santa Cruz while attending UCSC.
It features some of BushyOldGrower's Bogglegum - a very tasty smoke indeed!
Official Entry:
To give you an idea on the crutch that I installed on the above masterpiece...
It's of the "accordion" variety. Though this one was also a very fine smoke,
rolled in the Brazilian aLeda King Size cellulose paper, the above entry rolled
with Hempire 1.25" is indeed my official submission... because it was better!
 Oddly enough, this one did take a greater level of technical mastery in joint
rolling, as the cellulose paper tends to curl upon itself and is very slippery,
and therefore can be quite difficult if not downright frustrating to work with.
All the same, that Hempire torpedo holds a special place in my heart.

I've never tried the "accordion variety." Are the hits markedly improved or anything? Seems like they would make it harder to roll and I also kind of prefer cone shaped joints.

Oh wait I guess being all springy then you could just pop it in after you've finished the joint instead of rolling with it in there. I think I might try that next time.

That's exactly what I do... I typically have a 3" x 5" note card laying around and cut out a rectangular strip that's about 4 or 5 times as long as it is wide. Then I bend it up /\/\/\/\/ (without creasing) and lightly compress it to slide it into the end of a finished joint. It should fit in the joint so that there is still 1 - 2 mm of joint paper overhang. As you postulated, the springiness will allow for easy placement and also to keep it in place. For added security, twist closed the lighter-end of the joint and take a draw on the sealed product to "fit" the joint paper snugly around the accordion.
There are a several reasons I do this:- It keeps the mouth-side of the joint open for solid smoke-flow regardless of sloppy smokers or tar build up.
- It acts as a stop on the end of the joint to prevent any weed from falling through (as may happen with an open "C" crutch).
- It allows the smoker to finish all the weed without having to worry much about burning their fingers or using a roach clip.
- It is durable, will not fall out (when implemented appropriately), and is resistant to being crushed.

Hey man that's funny cuz I use the same style, except after I fold it in on itself 3-4 times, I wrap the tail of paper around the acordian once, maybe twice and the spring action of the acordian expands the ring so it fits tightly inside the rolling paper, it lodges itself in there due to the tension. its fucking genius... I came up with it in high school.
It kinda looks like this from the end (\/\/) but its a circle and the ring goes ALL the way around the acordian

i'd attempt to roll one with some of this Purple Star i got, but all ive got atm are these american spirit "natural" rolling papers that don't have any damn sticky shit on them. and my saliva dosen't do anything but make the paper fall apart.. freakin whoever can make one of those stick has special saliva glands like venom or some shit i swear.

I've got about a half dozen dark spots on my lips from resin stains from blunts and roaches. They've been there for years. lol I'm not that picky about smoking herb. If it gets too short I just put it out. So i have never messed with filters/spacers. I mean if you roll it right you dont need them.
