Saturday, May 16, 2009 9:58 AM CDT Police Seize Drug Stash In Raid On Local Home By Amy Sherrill
A traffic stop made Thursday led authorities to a Fort Smith residence where they executed a search warrant and found more than 17 pounds of marijuana, several hundred ecstasy tablets and about $6,000 in cash, said a Sebastian County sheriff’s investigator. Laquita Monete Thomas, 25, was pulled over in the area of North 48th Street and Kinkead Avenue and arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine after police located suspected cocaine in her vehicle. she was “getting high,” with some acquaintances, police said. Police got a search warrant based on that information and other intelligence gathered in the past about narcotics dealings at the residence, said investigator Anthony Sacco of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office.
Ziplock freezer bags full of marijuana were found throughout the home, authorities said.
“It seemed like everywhere I looked, in every drawer, there was marijuana,” Sacco said.
Inside one of the bedrooms, authorities found bags of marijuana in a laundry basket. In the kitchen in a cupboard above the stove, investigators found a bong and 2 pounds of marijuana sitting atop a baking pan stacked on a Halloween bowl, Sacco said.
More than 300 ecstasy pills and the 17 pounds of marijuana located in the residence have a street value of about $40,000, authorities said.
Terry Montez Moss, 29, and Amber Raschelle Engel, 22, who both live at the North 49th street residence, were arrested on possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of methylenedioxymethamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Engle also was booked into jail on suspicion of maintaining a premise for drug activities, according to a jail docket.
The Barling and Fort Smith police departments, 12th Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office assisted Sebastian County in the investigation.

No shit. If I saw things from your point of view I definitely wouldn't be talking to a bunch of people I don't know on a message board. Of course I can understand why you're pissy, if you grew up on a <20k/yr. income
