I am doing my first grow ever indoors. I am using 2x175 MH lights with a reflector. The soil is Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil amended with perlite and dolomite.
I attached white trash bags with masking tape assuming that white reflects light. It seems to have increase light intensity a little bit according to my pH/light/moisture sensor. Is there any chance the plastic or tape leaching anything into the air that might effect the plants? I remember reading about some grow tent that did that and had bad reputation for killing plants and the initial smell of the masking tape made me paranoid.
The clones were planted on Wednesday afternoon. How do you think they are doing? Some seem to have purple on the stem. At first I thought it was just genetics because I noticed it on the purple kush. Then I noticed it on one of the two sour diesel clones so I am not sure if it is due to stress from transplanting or what...
Don't worry about the purple. Trash bags are a bad idea. You could just do b&w poly or Mylar. With Mylar you are going to need 2mm or light will leak through.
BTW growers kill pot, not grow tents, closets, greenhouses, or anything else. Sounds like an excuse lol.
