I just ordered a 1080P projector for my movie room. It's pretty neat. The screen is going to be 100" and I'm having Klipsh surround put in. I can't wait. Football games are going to be the shit. Best Buy is coming out to install it in 2 weeks. It cost me a few bucks. The only downside is the bulb life of the projector is only 4000 - 5000 hours.
When we had our house built I had a movie room set up where the outline of the floor lights up like a movie theater. The lights are adjustable so you can control how bright it is. I've been waiting for a year because my wife keeps going shopping and spending all of our money. Anyway, I'll post picks when it's done. They said they might be able to install early if there are any cancelations. Wish me luck.
The guy at Best Buy told me the screen was going to be so big that it would take me a week or so to get used to it. Fuck yeah!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention this shit is so expensive I had to drain my savings account to purchase this shit. The good news is the first 2 bulbs are free. After that I have to pay $350 a pop.
Is 4,000 hours a lot? I don't watch much TV so I figured it would last a long time.

if you used it for 11 hours a day it would last roughly a year.
i got a room down stair that i will eventually put a projector in and some really nice chairs.
how far is the projector from the "screen"? and how far is the seating?

You are going to enjoy that. I recently upgraded my 32" flat screen to a 50" plasma. It fits the room that I have it in really well. I'm loving it. It has me watching a lot more movies than I was before.

Cool, the only thing I'm worried about is the screen size. It might be too big. I'm sure I'll get used to it though.  football games are going to f'ing rock.
