Good question. I'm interested to see what the regulations say if they're are any. Regardless i'm sure federally it wouldn't matter.

sure he can grow medically. whether its legal or not is a whole different issue.
so to answer your question, we need some more info.
a good place to start off would be to include stuff like: 1) WHAT COUNTRY YOU'RE IN, also 2)LOOKING UP LOCAL LAWS YOURSELF 3) Google!
if you're looking for a good answer and not just some jackass response like this, you should ask a more specific question.
i will say this now for the sake of simplicity: assuming you mean any felon from the United States, the answer is no. No person in the United States may permissibly grow marijuana. All persons engaging in such activities are breaking Federal law.
now in a state, such as our lovely california, medical patients are allowed by state officers to follow state law (sometimes). felons (as far as i know) are not excluded from being eligible to see a doctor, so if a doctor recommends cannabis as an effective treatment for this patient, i'd think it matters not his legal history (unless u've got a lot of shady drug charges).
again, it would really help everybody if you were more specific. it's like asking on a forum: what should i have for lunch today? there's any infinite number of answers, and only a finer pointed question can yield more specific answers.

He is a felon in California. He's on 5 year felony probation though, but cannabis seems to help him deeply with his stomach. He has a 110% week stomach and possibly may have a hole in his intestines, and horribly bad oulsers, he smokes pot and walks around and does shit. Does it matter if the charge was drug related? Non marijuana related.

go to canorml.org and you can get some doctor's numbers and call and ask. pretty sure he should be OK as long as the doctor recommends it for him
