 Need some volcano help

I am taking apart and cleaning my volcano but two pieces seem to be glued together with resin. If you have the volcano with a solid valve, flip the "herb chamber" upside down so that screen is on top. Assuming the black piece stays still, which way do I have to twist the metal for it to unscrew? I have soaked this thing in hot water, rubbing alchohol + salt, but nothing is loosening it and I want to make sure I am not twisitng it the wrong way. If you cant understand what Im asking I can try to rephrase it. Thanks

Wait for someone who knows but almost always counter clockwise to unscrew most anything that doesn't have to be designed opposite because of rotation such as some wheels etc...

I know counter clockwise usually loosens stuff, but you can look at it from the top or bottom so Im not sure which way is which

It will still be counter clockwise. You just vaped some before trying to clean it didn't ya.

I dont think so. Imagine a plastic ring with a metal ring inside. The outer ring is not moving and if you look at it from the top and spin the metal counter clockwise. Flip it over and the metal would then be going clockwise. Even if I do figure ot which way to turn it I dont know if I could get it apart

The two pieces will still be moving in a counter clockwise direction to each other if you are loosening but I see what you are saying. If you can get to the top and the bottom and it's seized that well then do you really need to get those two pieces apart for cleaning? Better wait for someone who knows volcanoes.

Looking through a few cleaning manuals, some dissasemble this piece and some do not. I think unless someone has a good idea for taking it apart then i think I will have to leave it as is. My fingers are sore and cut from messing with this now

usually counter-clockwise from whichever end it got screwed in from.
so the top it wherever the point of drilling/screwing occured.
google it. "taking apart a volcano"
guarenteed someones done it before you.
