Okay, so the word is I quit my job because these tools were assholes, and so I would have more time for school...Well, they just called me asking them to come fix their computer. Thing is they have a guy who set it up, and could come fix it, but they don't want to because they are cheap as fuck...They would be paying him a couple hundred, and me a couple 20's.
I have done it twice now, and I think it's time I said no. Any responses?

depends on how bad you need the money. if you dont need 40.00 then fuck it. asking for more isnt a bad idea either.
or you could go in and pretend to fix it, but really just fuck it up even more.

They have officially been calling since 7:45 this morning, and I just received the 5th call from them...Haven't answered just listened to voice mail.
I mean I manage your network??? Do you really want to piss me off??? I still have access from my house...You would think these things would cross their mind, but it didn't.
I could fucking end their business, I saved it once. The people who made their software said there is no way to fix the error, and the dumbasses didn't do backups like I asked.
Anyway, I think I'll just let them suffer. Jackasses.

I ended up not calling. I have a job I don't need the money...I mean I could always use it, but I would rather them have to spend more than to get what they want.
They need to treat their computer people better. They fired 2 admins before me, and then I quit it was so bad.

how long have you been into computers? did you go to school for this knowledge or did you teach your self?

I have been playing on them since I was about 5. I was in school for them, and took the A+/Network+ exams, and now I am in the field...But quit to finish school.
