Scratch that. The software has to be installed on the ipod previously. Thank god. Load off my chest. Now i can enjoy my new 120gb ipod. woooo hooo.

no i have a friend im giving it to. sowwwwwwy.
and yes the software exists. its for any like laptop/computer/mp3 playe. but it has to be installed on it. thank god.

Put Linux on it...Fucking awesome. All kinds of free games etc...Plus you don't have to deal with all that copyright bullshit.

Check the support FAQ's to make sure your ipod is supported. Most are, and if they aren't you can get it to work with a little work.
Any questions send me a message.
And if you want to learn Linux get Ubuntu...That's the best one for a new person to use. It's pretty much plug and play in a sense like Windows.
After you learn some of the commands etc you can get something like open suse or fedora...etc.
