First "should I smoke up before going to school? " thread.

Well almost, but I may have the first poll.

I'm planning on doing this course assignment (layout for the first eight pages of a book) while being incredibly high. I have plenty of time left so if this doesn't work out I can always repeat the excercise while being completely sober.

Does your aesthetic perception improve by use of the devil weed or does it dampen your critical abilities?
Does MJ improve your artistic eye?

It depends on what classes, and how much. I will toke a very tiny bit before studying to get me less nervous about my test, but if I toke up too much, I'll just fail.

For art and history, it works very well though

I could NEVER go to school high. You would know from the second I step into that classroom that I was messed up to the point of no return. My eyes (without fail) go the deepest blood-red conceivable :sinister: - that is, if you can see past my droopy eye-lids. I tend to drift around as I walk, a sort of half-lethargic, half-dreamy state of stupification. :bigbird:

Answering *shudder* questions would be a whole other extreme. Frankly, I don't even want to think about that right now. :snub:

No because I always end up wasting rolls of film shooting photos when I'm high, and I'm rarely satisfied with them.

However, I've thought of some of my best photo ideas WHILE high.

I get high to think, and stay sober to execute.

That's a good approach. :thumbup: Abstractions often seem much less abstract a-la-blazed. The trouble (for me) lies in the act of transferring those ideas effectively from high to sober, and still retaining some form of objective sense. :crazy2:

I used to have that trouble... then I had to write a paper after accidentally dosing nutmeg... that boosted my confidence, now I do all schoolwork, exams, etc. high.

It's much easier for me to learned when I am on some mind-altering substance because I become more interested in what the teacher has to say, they being boring or not. Otherwise, I just day dream and end up realizing I retained nothing from the class.

I hope they aren't stressing over the bugs, it's only the beta version after all. There's plenty of time to work out the kinks while a user base starts builfing up.

I personally don't mind but many users out there like to see a polished product with no bugs before investing their time and energy. While this doesn't affect those of us who know this site will be nothing short of amazing, it may influence new members so I think working bugs out would be a top priority.

:eek: I shudder to ask, but how does one accidentally dose nutmeg? It takes real commitment to choke all that shit down.

Too true. I rarely smoke before school, but before a philosophy class, a couple of tokes makes for some interesting analysis.

Well, I made myself a batch of spiced pancakes, with cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, all kinds of stuff.  There was only 2/3 of a nut of nutmeg in there, but either the other spices made it stronger, or that was a randomly potent nut... either way, a few hours later I was feeling pretty stoned.
