how i told my work my grandfather had a heart attack when he didn't to get a day off and then today off for the fake "funeral" and my manager asked me to bring the leaflets that they pass around at the funeral, which since no one ever died doesn't exist, luckily theres such things as computers and kinkos so i can make a 100% real looking fake one, and be like yeah i got the leaflet but i thought it was very disrespectful for you to even request that. Fuck grocery stores.

What a fucking asshole. I hate bitches that think their job is way more important that it really is. I would never ask for somthing like that if a employee said his grandfather died. I wouldn't care if he really didn't, because you at least tried to make a effort to get the day off, so you must have a good reason to do so.

i'd tell him to fuck off, this isn't high school, if you requested a day off due to a family death and he granted it you shouldn't have to do anything more.

I never had the need to try it cause my old manager knew all my family history. So he knew when i was lying. That's what sucks about being so close to your fellow employees. Haha
I used to just call in late and say that i was gonna be there as soon as i can. Then just stall for a few more hours. lol
