classical guitars? I'm in the selecting process currently but am unfamiliar about classical guitars. Any brands that stand out of high quality? Anything to look for in one?

that's spanish right? I think I want one made in spain if possible but if it sounds right and is of good quality I could care less about point of origin.

Dunno, I was given an old Hondo a few months back. Fucking tuning pegs are all messed up, have to tune it a whole step down or it slips outta tune.
Just start heading to music stores and play a bunch of em, go with whichever one feels best.

the music store near me unfortunately doesn't carry a large selection of classical guitars. I think they have a yamaha and some other brand.

Pawn shops are a good resource too. Find one that doesn't check all their gear against ebay's prices and you might get a killer deal.

Yeah, it has to do with the way the tuning mechanisms are set up. Over time they get just get worn out. Probably an easy fix, but "meh".
I use mine in Drop-C for playing acoustic Slayer now.

Ive been working through classical gas lately and also segovias asturias. mainly play electric but have been getting back into finger picking and loving it so I think I need to get me a classical.
