I am starting flowering tomorrow, and didn't wanna transplant until. I find out who is male, and who is female. I originally thought for some reason Ak 48 was an auto flowering (don't judge) so they have a gallon and a half of soil. Will they be fine with that much maybe just more frequent waterings
I would take clones but keep vegging. Sex those clones and once you have figured out which ones are female, transplant them in like a 5gallon pot and give them a little tome to spread their roots. Then switch to flowering, the extra yield and less frequent waterings/fertilizing will be worth it.
Yeah definitely don't transplant at the start of flowering, it will cause the plants to stunt and take 1-2 weeks to even react to the lighting change. I've made this mistake before and it extended my flowering period to around 10-11 weeks instead of 8. They didn't even use all of the new soil I gave them because they started focusing on flowering and not forming a root system, so it is basically IMPERATIVE to have an established root system before switching the light schedule.

How big are your plants now? I think they will be fine. Check out magash's plants with the smallest amount of soil I have ever seen and the plants look great!
you shouldnt transplant during flowering stunt growth . instead just cut out the bottom of the pot and put it ontop of another one... yeah i got that from the cannabis grow bible.
