Oh I assumed you were saying you had the same problems with your tobacco plant. well I still just see TMV when I look at that.
If I were you I'd try adding some all purpose fertilizer. Though I'm sort of guessing that you don't have enough P and K and you should probably listen to them over me. I don't think I've ever successfully identified any of my own plant issues.

Yeah it sure as hell looks like tmv but I'd love to hear it just a lockout or deficiency since that's an easy fix. Did a top dress of guano on the chem and new growth is looking better but could also be the lack of mites since floramite spray.

Is this starting at the bottom the plant and working it's way up?
For starters your pH is too low, you should be using about 6.8-7.0 in soil. For how old your plants are, the size of container they're in is pretty small. I would assume that all the nutrients in it have been used up and you aren't giving them enough food at this point. Kind of looks like Potassium deficiency to me.

I would so a small flush and treat with a balanced flowering fertilizer.

Soil "technically" I don't think promix is very nutritious is it? Basically all nutrition is provided by the ingredients and concentration provided by the tea dilution at 400-500 ppm. Should I up the ppm, change formula or switch back to aqua flakes as a base which I've had success with in conjunction with organics? Would like to succeed with home made teas but don't want to gamble the plants.

Well there's going to be a learning curve when switching from manufactured nutrients to something you are putting together yourself. I personally prefer to use teas as an addition to my regular nutrient line up.
If all your other parameters are in order, pH, then I would start upping the PPM, after a flush.

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and made up another res of h and g base. The New foliage is looking good after the guano top dress. What deficiency do you suspect that was? Micro, macro or could I possibly have locked something out rather than not supply enough?

Like I stated in the above post, from just recalling it I think potassium. But deficiencies aren't always caused by just a lack of that element in the soil. Other imbalances can cause a plant to not be able to uptake other nutrients.

Time to flip through teaming with microbes again and get some other reading too. Any suggested literature on organic fertilizers?
