i use USPS. never had any issues with weed. i triple or quadruple vacuum seal anything an ounce or more and won't send more than 4oz in a single package. i also tend to ship it with other things and disguise it very well. it's always someone's birthday somewhere after all. usually i am only sending 1/4's though which is a lot easier but still gets treated with the utmost care when packaging.
like hawks mentioned above, USPS can't open your package without probable cause and a warrant so the best thing to do is make sure you package very carefully. don't use too much tape on the outside of your package, it can look suspicious. ALWAYS use a VALID return address and make sure the address you are sending to is correct and legible.
i only send things to close friends.

I wouldn't imagine it to be very hard if it's just going to another state, considering how much highly illegal shit I have gotten through customs with zero issues so far.
Also like mentioned above use USPS.

Man, I know some people who have sent 4-5 bows across the country, more than once. No problems.

not always...
I know 2 people that got cops to deliver to the person and they arrested him after he signed for the package.
Dont send with it requiring a signature... that way if cops/delivery guy say u need to sign for it, just say you dont sign for packages that you dont know what they are....

It is definitely possible to send weed through the mail, and I know many people who do it. Dumb people use vacuum sealed bags, which may prevent the detection of the contents by a human, but will not fool a dog. The only device that I know of that can absorb and trap 100% of odors and truly prevent detection from a police dog is called a Gonzo Bag. These bags use activated charcoal sheets that soak up odors and do not let them escape for months on end. Pretty nifty in my opinion. Google odor proof gonzo bags
