Yea I'm raising the light tomorrow and I think the PH issue is stemming from the tapwater I'm using. I was told by my local council that the water here had a PH of 7 and I know that's a little high for soil if I'm not mistaken, but I'm sure that wouldn't warrant that much sagging?

What do I need to get the PH down? I'm letting the water sit openly for 48hours before using it and everything but I haven't checked the runoff to be honest, I might do that tomorrow...

See, out of the tap mine is 7 too, and I used to let my jugs sit out for 24 hours minimum before using as well.  Then I became plagued with lockout and found out when I let my water sit out, the pH jacked up to 8.5.

I now use FRESH tap water, and I haven't seen any reason why I was leaving the water out in the first place, my plants seem to do BETTER by using it straight from the tap.  I still test of course, but I've got a pretty good feel for where the pH is after my addition of nutrients, because that tends to change it dramatically.

Sweet man thanks for the advice, I'll start flushing with fresh tap water tomorrow and see if there's any improvement :smile:

Its funny you say that because for my entire last grow I was using fresh tapwater and never had an issue:facepalm3: I guess reading all that stuff made me doubt my own methods even though they were working for some silly reason

Exactly, Not everything works exactly the same for everyone.  And it really depends on where you live.

I've been having a ph question bothering me for a while now.

I've read peat is about 4.0 ph.

Lets say I add for example 8 ph water to the 4ph peat.

Do I take the average of the two to find out the resulting ph of the soil?

8+4=12/2=6ph?

Or will the plants suck up the 8ph water?

Either way I just bought a soil meter to help out and answer this if noone else can.

I would be able to test this if I didn't lose all my ph stuff when moving, twice, shit I lost almost all my growing nutes, ph, calmag, superthrive, everything during moves, I don't even know how and had to rebuy all that shit.

probably not the best venue to get that question answered.  I would suggest the cult section.  I wouldn't assume anything with your ph.  measure, measure, measure.
