I know we have a lot of crossover traffic here from the shroomery, i've cultivated shrooms for some time now, but never had any experience with pot...I've been reading up, and i'm curious: which do you all find easier?

you dont even really need a tek to grow mushrooms
i grew them once by shoveling a patty covered and mycelium and sprayed it a bit
had cubers in two days

I've grown both, weed is more work but it's less fucking around than shrooms.

i grew shrooms successfully first try.
i think there prob isnt much thats easier than a monotub. i mean set t ferget it harvest. lol.
i cant wait to try growing weed

Now that I think about it, the time my friend grew outdoors was much easier than any time growing mushrooms. Simply had to germinate, plant, and do a little tending to along the way. Nature pretty much ran its own course outdoors.

weed is mostly security issues, all mushies really require is patience . If you know your basics about both then they should be no problem. Location is the bitch, if you got the spot to grow weed Do it.

wow, growing mushrooms is winning.
I'd only say growing mushrooms is easier in terms of concealment, unless you own a farm.
weed plants are a pain in the ass when they're young. mold, bugs, animals, overwatering. It's like nature has it in for that plant to get fucked.

Like i said.. Im going through the same shit. the plant does the growing. You gotta worry about all that prevents it like snitches and pigs. start off with some tester seeds if your rusty. The biggest issue is security. Do you live with people or have neighbors that would easily spot out your weed? if not then your good to go. I don't know your situation but if you know of a good spot thats half the battle, I'm going through some serious mission impossible situations over here.

u got contams, sterilization, pasteurization etc....
agar plates to get a clean culture
wash the bird seed soak the bird seed simmer the bird seeds
prepare the jars loading jars....
coir or horse shit
case or not to case
or you could just do brf cakes and get a shitty yield
or you could just get a light and some nutes then throw a seed in the dirt
or fuck the light just go outside

yea, u still got to know the science of shit for weed. My whole thing is whether its going to be outdoors or indoors and if your living in your own place. Shrooms may be a bitch at first but after you get the hang of it all it really takes is one day at a time. One day for the agar, one day for the LC, one day for the grain, one day for the casing and after this the whole watching thing. But weed is fucking huge and known world wide. You got to top it or tie it down if its taller than expected. Some plants must be topped to reach potential so you got to read up to see if topping is need or a fuck up. Too much nutes (common rookie mistake) and you'll burn the plant. Germinating, Transplanting, temp may be an issue as well. And obviously youl have to watch and visit the plant to water. Its security man...
I say do both and if one fucks up you still got the other.

I really don't think you can compare mushies to weed. Sure you have to worry about sterility when dealing with mushrooms, but uh, that's pretty much it. Soaking birdseed and putting it into jars is hard? Compare that to moving a 5 ft plant to a bath tub and flushing it with 15 gallons of water. Comparatively that's a helluva lot more labor then filling up a quart jar with bird seed.
The way i like to say it is this. Any monkey can grow weed, it's true it doesn't take much effort to put a seed in the ground and let it grow. But tell that monkey to grow you some of the stinkiest, densest, most resin coated buds and you'll end up with crap. Growing top notch, "club" quality, cannabis is an art form. Also, compared to mushrooms, you have to put in much more care and attention with your plants. Mushrooms are just set and forget for the most parts. Try doing that with your grow and see what happens. If i didn't check in on my plants every single day of the week and month, i would have ended up with 5 plants of powdery mildew.
Hell im not going to even talk about growroom design, equipment, cost....
Really, IMO, you just can't compare the two.

I picked Mushrooms... But only because my first trip was on shrooms I grew, myself. I followed the PF-TEK to the .T and got ZERO contams and like 112g's of Dry 1stFlush mushy's from those 12 Half Pint Jars. It was NNIICCEE!
If I was to wait till I was able to grow my own pot I think I would have been in my mid 20's by the time I got the patience to grow some BuD all the way to the end.
But If we are talking BULK GROWING I choose weed. Allot less steps and equipment needed to grow on a massive scale.

I'm going to have to agree with the first post. Bulk growing is easier with weed, but personal grows are easier with shrooms.
BTW, I vote shrooms because I love shrooms.
