carrying absinthe through US customs

i put it in a big listerine bottle and the color looks right.  anyone think this could be a problem?

it is in the US. the stufff i have is czech and contains thujone (from wormwood)  and i'm 20 which means the alcohol part alone isnt cool with US customs.

i was gonna do that but im trying to figure out hte chances of them opening a mailed package + opening the listerine bottle inside vs. opening my luggage and opening the listerine bottle inside.

cant breing it in the listerine bottle im pretty sure any container over 500ml is not allowed on the plaine.  I could be wrong tho

or just order it of the net, borrow someones card and order the shit. its only illegal to drink- and sale in establishments. as long as it has that not for consumption sticker and its not been opened it cool to have and bring to the states.

great success!  put the 750mL of absinthe into a 1L listerine bottle into a bag with my toiletries in my checked bag.  And brought 1L johnny walker black  + 1L crown royal in my backpack carry-on. 

totally coulda brought more.  haha

they had my bag searched cause I tried to keep my toothpaste and they saw it in the machine :crazy2:

they didnt look in any of my bags.  went through customs answered questions, ran bags through scanner.  no search.  i dont know about those rules because i also walked on the plane with a philly cheesesteak and large coke.

i lied though, cracked open teh crown royal and it was 750mL, not 1L.  my bad.  the johnny walker is 1L tho.

i honestly could have been carrying a pound of weed.  they didnt look in my shit, there were NO dogs of any kind on any of the 4 flights i took in teh course of my trip.  i was pretty surprised after having heard so much about searches when flying.

usually once they run the bags through the scanner they will take you to the side and go through it with you if you have any liquids

maybe they werent paying attention or the guy was like, why should I ruin this guys fun :rockon:
