Ahhh man its pretty shitty that you had to tear it all down. I would have been thinking the same thing though with your sketchy friend, I dont at all blame you for being on the safe side. Move to Canada and you wont have to worry about your mush! Magic mushrooms are legal here in Canada in spore form and also growing them. It is when they are dried that they become an illegal substance. You can actually buy spores and a kit and everything you need at a local headshop by my house and everything.

I started growing thai cubensis 4 days ago. I just sterilized the substrate in the oven at 190 degrees for an hour and off course wiped all working surfices and equipment with 70% ethanol. Now all the jars have started colonizing and no signs of contaminations yet! 
This is very promising so far.

I´ll take a pic after one week or so. Then possible contaminants are visible I think. I did sterilize the needle between inoculations with a lighter so its not just oven sterilization and hand wash alcohol. 
I have 6 glasses in incubation right now and I am keeping my fingers crossed none of them get contaminated. Which is unlikely but it seems good so far.

If you see growth, then its either myc or contam ,
just post a pic now, save yourself the effort of waiting, if theyre bad ill tell u rite now and u can go buy a pressure cooker and start over
and u just washed ur hands with alcohol? no gloves? no glovebox?

Siek is right, thats not sterilizing that is pasturizing. Your gonna end up with a contam probably.

It could be mycellium , its still to thin to tell
, looks like cobweb, how long did it take to show that growth?
not long I bet, If your jars get overtaken in a couple days and are fully white, dont even open them there will be fluffy cobweb on top,
its pretty hard to tell right now , but you might get lucky

Cobweb?  Spiders? No way dude! Its been 5 days now , theyr in a carboard box inside a black plastic at 25 degrees. So its pretty much optimal conditions.

Oh dude. That's cobweb mold for sure. I lol'd at the spiders comment though. 
Growth rate is way too fast for that to be myc, and mycelium is super white...that's grey.
I've had it many times, and the only way myc can be confused with cobweb mold is if you're growing pan cyanescens, but never cubies.
You really only have 2 options for successful sterilization of grain:
Pressure Cook (the best)
or
A long boil (like in the PF Tek)
Otherwise you get what you have there, which is mold.
