mine too. i was born with "strawberry blond" hair which lightened up quite a bit, but my grandfather would have a red beard, i do, my brother does. its pretty sweet, its actually the reason i grew it in the first place. i noticed my hair was red on my face so i was like FUCK YEAH!

Not sure what you mean by "painting" effect... I ran a simple gradient on eye cover for the first one and some HSB Noise from the Eye Candy package of filters on the eye cover for the second one to give the ultra psychedelic effect. Magic wanded various portions of the face on the first one, feathered the selection by 10 pixels to soften the edges and then ran a Cutout filter from the Eye Candy package to create the red/white skin burn effect. On the second one I again magic wanded various portions of the face, no feathering this time, same Cutout, and then messed around with the smudger tool to soften the edges of the white/red burn effect.
