my hair is starting to dread up

theres nothing dirty about it!  dirty hair wont form dreads, cleanliness has worked against me in this case, its just doing it because i dont comb/brush my hair.

but im just afraid it will look stupid given my blonde whiteboy genetics.  and i already have people walk up to me on the street looking for weed.  i dont think i look that stonerific but maybe doing something to have stoner look would be a sketchy idea :shrug:

I've had dreads start forming on a few surfing trips in the past. My wife is totally against them but it's something I'd like to explore sometime in life. I've already got the long hair and appropriate average body build. I say go for it if you are interested and no everyday loved one objects strongly. You may not get the chance to explore that side of ya later in life. They can always be gone in a flash.

it takes about over a year for hair to naturally dread on it's own
once my hair reaches my chest i'm dreading back up :jah:

the saltwater contributes to that.  the ocean is a good place to wash them

Yeah. I feel less need to bath when spending 10 hours a day in Outer Banks salty Atlantic surf. Cuts and skate rashes that would otherwise take a week to heal do so overnight. The constant thrashing of the hair in the salt water speeds of the clumping tangling of the hair too.

GOD DAMN I MISS THE OCEAN!

BTW The areas featured in that video are places and events that I have spent a lot of time at personally and feel at home. I've spent time in the finest homes, restaurants and clubs as well as living as a surf bum from a van and less. A part of my life I wouldn't trade for anything. Even though I really suck as a surfer. You don't have to be good to have a good time at it.
