Sprayed/Contaminated Weed

Does anyone know what chemicals are sprayed onto bud to make it weigh more? For the past 2 years no matter who you get your bud off in my area, it will be sprayed. Its horrible when you get a bag and there's a pile of what looks like sand at the bottom.



Something needs to be done (decriminalised) to stop people smoking this, it has had a serious effect on both my mental and physical health. I have now stopped smoking completely.

The last 3 pictures of the sack really shows its been fucked with.

I've heard of silicone grit being used, and like another member brought up, some people are putting powdered gravy mix on their buds.

If you don't mind me asking, what country are you finding this bud in?

It doesn't look like its comes from a plant anymore.

If you look at the pictures of the tiny bud, notice all the yellow crystals covering. Some people actualy think its THC!

Well it's good to know you know the difference.  But yeah idk what to tell you.  I've read stories awhile back of them actually pulling this shit in Amsterdam.  Not sure what it was they were spraying and I don't have time to look for the article atm but I'm sure you can find it. 

Also in the UK there was a big thing about people putting either sand or glass beads in their bud, so idk it could be something as simple as that or something else.

Yeah in that sense it does. Shrooms/any hallucinogen seem to be luxuries as well...

What really takes the piss is the dealers sell the sprayed bud (hi grade) at £ a point.

i havent heard of many people having sprayed bud around UK for a while. but looks like its still about:sad:

ive never had any but its usually sand or tiny glass beads as far as i know.

its not acceptable, you need to have a word with the dude you got this from.

TBH to me it just looks like some pretty good bud and the trichs have fallen off and gotten on the bag.  If you took better pics with a diff. cam then we could tell but otherwise that just looks like a sack of decent dank around here, and sometimes it's really dry and the trich heads fall off and make a ton of kief.  :shrug:

Noooo, you can tell because these crystals are yellow. THC crystals are white. Also the other day my mate had a O of this, and after he had finished bagging it there was a nice pile of really fine sand left behind :crazy:

And DD, there is nothing in those pictures that tells me it's been sprayed with anything.  but I do believe him.

Anyways these people are fucking retarded, I guarantee that the difference in weight is negligible at best when sprayed and they need to learn the lame ass tricks they use here, like selling them before they are cured so there's about 10% more water weight then when it's completely dry.

I've never head of them spraying weed to make it weigh more, thats retarded. I've heard of people putting their buds on orange peels to make it weigh more. A lot of times here the weed is too dry and they did a really shitty job trimming, that pisses me off. Harsh smoke, and it burns faster. The local growers don't know what the fuck they're doing.

It could be Gravox Powder used to make gravy :smile: Welcome to my world.... Lick it and I bet it will be salty (if not your worrying for nothing)... or even better shake the bag go nuts then pull out nugs and collect the grainy shit at bottom of bag add a few drops of water then lick it, tell us what it tastes like.

Gravox powder for chicken looks exactly like amazing kif, added to moist weed it penetrates the surface and gets right in there and leaves it looking even better than it should, It's Impossible to tell unless you actually lick your weed!!!!! Something no one ever does.

I've had sprayed nugs before.  Some beautiful BC beasters out of Canada were transported to the Southeast, US and was sprayed by some sort of chemical that once dried turned the nugs into hard, crispy, and powdery shit.  The easiest way to tell with me was that the buds were insane dense/crispy to the feel, and ours would scratch CDs, suggesting whatever is in it is probably harder than glass, aka quartz sand.  Another way was the fine, gritty, yellow powder left behind and the smell of moth balls that dominated the treefa. 

I've heard it may have been epsom salt or unflushed plants?? I doubt, but this definitely added +30% weight atleast to any bud before drying.  Even after drying the bud would be so coated in powder it was unsmokeable.

Honestly a lot of the time I'd say "sand" was just really keify bud. Yellow crystals in a traditional sense could be appropriate, I had some bud that turned yellow as it cured.

But the as I looked at the pictures, I got :sad: because I saw it was something wrong with it.

Too bad man. This is the GROWery though...:wink:

Jwh compounds can have a sandy appearance! People make smoke blends by spraying jwh compounds onto everday weeds. They mix compounds in water and spritz the herbs. Could be doing this with cannabis too. Probly adds weight and would definitely make a more potent bud. You would recognize this by the longer duration of the buzz. Super dry mouth too!  Crystals of jwh can look both sandy and glassy.

whoever made the comment that kief is white / clear and that the shake at the bottom of the bag being tan means it is glass is completely off

kief can be dark amber depending on the strain and how long you let your plant mature
