well have any of you tried these out? im thinking of picking one up for my new place. if you have how big of a resivor do you recommend? i cant use the faucet because it will be occupied. also how much humidity escapes these units if any? the fact that it appears to be plastic spooks me also. any melt downs out there?
Why not just get a co2 tank?Is the generator easier less expensive?Im just wondering cause Once I get a couple grows I was planning on getting a tank.I just thought generators were w ay expensive.
CO2 tanks are okay for small grows. on larger grows it starts to become impractical. propane is avaliable at every hardware store and gas station, where CO2 is generally a further drive to a gas supplier. also i know there are many uses for CO2 but when you burn through it real fast you get funny looks. a person can only drink so much soda or make so much beer. im sure there are plenty of other excusses but people who work at gas supply stores do know it can be used in horticulture as well. propane doesn't send messages through peoples minds hey this guy may have a garden. now besides all the parnoia the real seller on propane is the fact that it is cheaper per cubic foot then co2(this was before they jacked up the cost of petroleum products so they may be equal in price now). even if they are equal in cost 1 cubic foot of propane turns into three cubic feet of CO2. also if you are planning to stay awhile at your location you can tap into your natural gas line and use that which would prevent you from ever needing to refill tanks. all in all its cheaper, more convinent then co2 and can be used in larger operations were co2 is too expensive.
by the way you can get a co2 generator for the same cost as purchasing a tank and regulator.
Damnit!!I just wrote a whole post and forgot to send it.So short and sweetI thought the generator ran on co2.So yea propane is way more conveniant.Especially for me,My house runs on propane,so it would be perfect for me.But my grows will probably be small for atleast a little bit so Im not quite ready for air enrichment,But good info for the future.
