I was in the D.A.R.E program when I tried my first cigarette
Then I was introduced to marijuana at age 13
by 16 I was smoking everyday
I can't remember my age when I first tried alcohol
But I remember not liking it for it was liquor
And I went overboard
I see alot of others are saying alcohol
Is that because it was easy to obtain or what ?
I remember going to my friends house and we'd sneak into his parents room and find the stash of what we thought was alot of pot
It was only a half oz or oz.
We'd try and roll joints and smoke them while hanging out at the bus stop
We were so cool
I didn't really didn't like alcohol till I was 18 or so
I still don't like it but I drink beer like a fish
 liquor fucks me up bad
I can't pace myself with liquor So I just stick to beer

This one time I found my moms stash and was rolling a joint and my sister caught me and tried to take the weed away and we got into a fight and I won
We then made up and smoked the joint together

my dad used to give me the first cup off the keg when i was eight. it was 80% foam, but i learned if you let it settle, you got a lot more then the few sips of beer at the bottom.

yah, my rents were always really lax about alcohol. My dad told me he never wanted to make it seem taboo because he knew i'd be getting into it sooner or later. It worked pretty well too, i never had the desire to constantly raid the liquor cabinet. When i get a bit older and i wasn't going out anywhere, all i'd have to do is ask if i wanted a beer or a shot. Never got much more then that, but it makes you feel pretty cool when you're 13 and your dad hands you a beer  . I learned very quickly what the difference was between premium liquor and well liquor just by watching what he poured for himself, and what he poured for our guests
He'd always get pissed because i'd only steal the good stuff, gave me a chance to use the "i learned it from watching you" line

well I can't really count alcohol I have had sips off my moms beer before anything.
First time I got intoxicated was 13 from weed.
Shortly after I ordered some salvia online. 
After that really I just smoked weed, drinking occasionally, until I moved back to Florida and got a chance to try LSD at 17. Then the acid connect went sour, replaced with DOX chemicals, so I decided to try my hand at growing mushrooms.
Since then I have also tried mescaline, MDMA, nitrous, poppy tea and cocaine.

Caffeine most certainly. Doesn't anyone else consider caffeine a drug? It makes me sweaty, my skin clammy, heart rate increase, a cerebral rush of sorts.... Then again my dad used to make fresh ground super thick coffee that was probably loaded with way to much caffeine. I don't even drink coffee anymore it gets me too wired.

Caffeine for me too. I got bored at a forensics (acting, no dead people involved) tournament I was watching and got 4 liters of Dew and 2 packs of Jolt gum. I was all over the goddamn place.
It was almost a year after that that I smoked weed, then a month or so before I got into drinkin teh booze.

Yes it's a drug but not one I would use for recreation. Sugar is also a drug. Most food today contains MSG which among other things relaxes the consumer and increases the addictiveness of foods.

The great Wiki also says,
"Recreational drugs are chemical substances that affect the central nervous system"
In a way you are right though, sugar and salt can be included if your definition is broad enough. (any chemical that effects the body) But it is still misleading at least to say salt/sugar is a drug like caffeine is a drug. Caffeine is a real drug drug.

And that is why wiki cites sources...
Anyways if you would've read the study I posted you would see that sugar is shown to activate our bodies natural opioids. On a much small scale obviously than say heroin or morphine but nonetheless essentially the same process. Are you saying drugs should be defined in their intensity? I think that's half the problem with drug policy today.
Sugar is as damaging physically as most illegal drugs leading to diabetes, obesity and numerous other complications.

Would you consider marijuana or opium to be a drug like sugar? You compared coffee to sugar which imo is misleading, just like it would be to compare opium and sugar as drugs. Semantically you can make yourself right using the broadest definition but you are still misleading in your statements imo.

No not really. They're different types of drugs yes, but they're all still drugs.

i had half a can of beer when i was 7, but didn't drink again til 19. smoked weed within the same year, and binged on a lot of other drugs from 20 on
