Rain protection: Am I doing the right thing?

These outdoor plants have done very well in the dry weather, but now we are due for 5 days and nights of rain and possibly high winds. I moved them under the deck with a tarp on top to keep them dry. My reasoning is that several days of soaking will encourage rot and bugs, plus the risk of broken banches from the heavy weight. The downside is that they will get no direct sun for several days (that is, whatever gets through the grey overcast). See photo.
How badly will this decrease in sunlight affect the final stage of flowering? The buds should be ready for harvest in about 3 weeks. Would it be better to put them back out in the yard?

This is a tough one, ideally you’d have a greenhouse or waterproof light to throw over them. They won’t gain much weight without photons to provide the energy, but as you suspect the rain can cause far worse issues. I’d watch the weather closely and put them out when you can. If they end up getting rained on, give them a good shake to remove as much water as you can.
