Kali Kush grow outdoor
    #853988 - 12/18/21 10:42 PM (2 years, 3 months ago)

I've been looking for a strain with high content of CBD. So far, I've found Kali Kush with 20% CBD and 9-13% THC.

Anybody has experience with growing Kali Kush outdoors?

First thing to understand is that most CBD strains grown from seed will have varying cannabinoid ratios.  Some might be 20:1, others 1:1, 2:1, or vice versa.  One of my favorites for a while was a clone only known as Star Tonic, which was a 5:3 strain with 15% CBD and 9% THC.  Super hard to find these days.

Cannatonic, Charlotte's Web, Ringo's Gift, AC/DC, and Harlequin are a few more CBD strains off the top of my head.  Also a lot of CBD hemp genetics floating around the US these days, but anything CBD that isn't hemp can be hard to find.

Your options in Canada seem limited, so you might have to start from seed.  If you do, and you need to hunt for the highest CBD pheno, you can do something called the Beam test to confirm the presence of CBD, and give an estimate as to it's relative concentration.

Thank you for explanation. I'll look for Star Tonic and read about beam test.

Many websites come with a list of Top 10 High CBD strains, but finding those seeds/cuts is hard if not impossible. Most of them are proprietary, so not even available for regular consumers.

That's because it's so hard to go wrong with most that the only people that can really make lists like that are those being paid by a breeder haha. I am confident you will make a superb choice to fit your needs.
