Seedlings looking sad, are they in too strong of soil?
    #833586 - 06/27/18 08:42 PM (5 years, 8 months ago)

So i have some seedling, that I started in soil some time ago. I transplanted them to a new soil I tried making and it has been about a week since the transplant, and now they are droopy. I also noticed I have some cuttings that were droopy also. Not sure what to do. Can someone give some advice? Thank you
1. Are you growing from seed or clones?
From seeds
2. How old are your plants?
About 3 weeks old
3. How tall are your plants?
6 inches
4. What size containers are they planted in?
Small cup size containers
5.What is your soil mix?
Compost 2 parts, perlite 1 part, and petemoss 1 part.
6. How often do you water and what type of water do you use and how much you give per watering?
Once I stick my finger in the soil and feel it dry. I use regular water about 6.8ph. I water them until a little water drains from the container.
8. What kind of fertilizer do you use and what is its NPK ratio?
Not using nutrients.
9. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything?
No
10. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")
Sun light, about 14hrs and 40 mins
12. What size is your grow space in square feet?
Not sure, 12'x20'?
13. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space?
Ranges from 40F-97F, humidity is 40%
14. What is the pH of the soil?
Not sure
15. What is the pH of your run off?
Not sure
16. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space?
Not lately

Hey buddy don’t stress it to much plants bounce back more then you’d think

No master so take this advice for what it’s worth

I personally don’t think they look sad because of a nutrient issue, if it was a nutrient problem it prob be yellow for lack of nutes or burning at the tips for to much nutes

Anyway I think you have a watering issue on your hand ime drooping is usually water related

Ime if the leaves are very  wilted and weak with no bend or firmness they need water

If they are dropped with some firmness ime they are overwatered and need oxygen

looks like root shock to me.

Transplanting always stresses the roots add rich soil into the mix and roots can't uptake water.

The quick and easy solution is to mist your plants with water early in the light cycle so the water has time to dry before darkness allows mold to grow.

If the wilting stops after misting its root shock and your plants should be fine, you might need to mist a couple of more times early in the light cycle.:goodluck:

I have stopped watering them for the past 2 days. One of my seedling bounced back to being peppy. One of them is still droopy though. I guess I must water less then I was before. Huge thanks for the help guys
