Alright everyone I need help. I have a 34sf room that I need to keep cool to grow in. How can I go about doing so without spending lots of money?

How much Power you planning on using for lighting? Anything from a 60cfm to 1000 cfm maybe more just depends on lighting really. I have 300 watts of cob leds in a 2x4x5 tent and it runs about 81°f with a 4 inch duct fan and scrubber on low . Maybe 100 cfm.

1000 watts shouldn't be to bad to keep cool. Depending on climate in your area you may not need a window unit, a good exhaust fan of the 8" variety maybe good enough. Is this a tent or real room ?

If you have a central a/c vent in the room that should be fine as long as your venting outside the room . I've seen folks run twice that in a room that size with a window unit or a mimi split so you should be able to run without a/c in the room. If you don't have central a/c then you will definitely need a window unit. Are you planning on running hydro or soil? What kind of goals do you have for harvest (weight)?

Unfortunately I dont have central air. I figured I would have to get a window unit. I will be doing soil with hopefully a few ounces per plant per harvest

Yeah definitely need window unit then with the summer heat you will cook them lady's. You should be able to pull a pound, pack 8-9 lady's tight under it or veg 4 out for a couple months and pull 4-5 zips each. Have you thought about reflective walls or sectioning it off to make a small grow area 1000 watts should cover a 5x5 area that way you can keep more light rite on the girls. Just a thought.
