I just started recently back in july. So far I have invested in 4 companies. One in biotech and the rest in the farily new cannabis industry. 3 out of 4 are showing some serious potential. There's a lot of money to be made from this fairly new market me friends.

So I woke up this morning. To this company I hold some shares in sky rocketing. They currently have 2 innovative products atm. 1. The parent company has a cork with a self contained 'opener/puller'. The other company currently has automatic grinder with a storage area and dispenser. They're also a Ecig company and will soon be selling CBD infused vape juice.
On a side note there's a solar company I've been thinking of getting into $ASTI. Has a ton of potential.

Yea I was thinking video games. Is virtual porn a thing yet though? That would have to bring in serious money. I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere that the porn industry makes more than the NFL, NBA and MLB combined.

Virtual Porn is already a thing, doesn't mean you can't jump on the train tho.
And virtual reality is still in its infancy, the time to get in is now. I'm trying to get my agency to start advertising in VR but they're fucking lagging it!

I use TD ameritrade. But there's a whole bunch. Like Scott trade,etrade,tradekings, etc. I think trade king has the cheapest fee at 4.99 per transaction.

so how much did you end up paying initially without buying stocks. Im looking at TD Ameritrade but its like 10 bux per trade, seems kinda pricey.
VPOR is down to .00024 today, does it usually fluctuate? Reminds me of using bitcoins for some reason.

Pretty much just $10 with TD. Let's say I bought 500 shares at .50¢ a share. Then my total would be $260 ($250 for the shares and $10 for the fee). When you decide to sell you'll pay another $10 plus 12% tax from uncle Sam.
Not like thag usually. But I personally believe it's down because of Sean Spicers press conference yesterday. A lot of MJ stocks dropped today.

I never traded with them but I wouldn't think so. With TD my first transaction was $26 ($10 for the fee and $16 for the shares).
NP man. Just do your due diligence about a company and you should be fine.

What do you guys think about Snapchat? It's suppose to go public on Thursday. I wonder what they'll open at. I personally don't use it. But I know people who do. But I get the feeling it is just a fad and will suffer the same fate as twitter. Remember MySpace? Almost the same concept. Although Facebook is an exception IMO.

I would suggest waiting and watching before investing in snap chat, if it's anything like facebook's IPO, the sheer size of the offering caused issues in the market, and it's price dropped pretty significantly after the IPO, and then recovered nicely.
That's being said, the estimated money that snapchat hopes to get during its IPO ($3.2 billion) is less than a quarter of what facebook managed to pull off (about $16 billion). Additionally, the estimated market capitalization of snapchat is under 1/5th that of Facebook ($21 billion vs $106 billion), so the effect on the market may not be as pronounced, and the expected dip in share price post-offering could be significantly smaller or non-existent.
My post has effectively nullified it's initial argument, and offered nothing of substance...

Kinda looks like it's going the way of Facebook, unless some experts are saying it's done for.
If they aren't, I would watch until the price begins a slow upward trend and snap (ha) up some shares when it's near rock bottom. Remember that Facebook shares dropped initially and picked back up slowly, ultimately surging past the initial offering price.

So yeah I'm done with tradeking. I deposited $85 into my account. It finally cleared today. And I was gonna buy some shares. But then I got a message saying I need at least $100 for OTC trades. What bullshit! And to add insult to injury. The company closed around 0.6¢ and I was gonna buy at around 0.3¢. At least TD doesn't pull this mickey mouse shit. Smh.

On a side note IMO nows the time to get into hydrogen fuels. I personally think it will out perform electric. I'm sure there's a reason companies like GM are investing into this technology. There's this one company I'm eyeing to go public. They'll soon be mass producing so to speak. Hydrogen-electric big rigs. They'll taking lease orders from different carriers. This could really change the trucking industry.

Yeah, I was in it and it didn't end well. Be careful. It's a lot less sexy, but I'd just get an IRA or something like that with a bank. If you really look at how much you make from one year to the next, you might as well do something financially conservative. A lot less hassle, worry and risk. I'm not going back into the market until Bank Of America goes back down to $3 per share.
But if you choose to stay in, good luck to you. I hope you become a millionaire from it.

So I'm gonna try a new strategy. Invest into companies that seem to have a history of getting short,small runs every now and then. I.e. going from 0.001 to 0.008. I personally think finding golden goose, longs on the OTC boards is pretty rare. Better off just taking small gains Like 20%-40% when you can. For instance there's this company Ascent $ASTI . Last two weeks it's been trading at 0.0005 and 0.0006. Then this morning it shot to 0.0014. Had I invested like $600 that day. That would of been a pretty nice chunk of change with a 160% gain.

As an aside, if you play MTG. It's gotten to the point where it is fairly likely to stay around, with a little investigation you can find a few cards that will likely only ever increase in value.
This is probably not a wise idea, but these investors exist (and, actually, hold most of the rare cards).

Right on thats cool. My advice is be wary of penny stocks and always do your due diligence. Maybe even consider making a investor hub (Ihub) account and follow those boards. But a lot of the penny stocks are scams. Especially the ones that are under 0.01 Not saying you can't make money off them. But use them for what they're for. But the odds of a penny stock going on NASDAQ is slim. Tons of companies go from NASDAQ to OTC. But very few go the other way around.

Easy, just open up a brokerage account like TDAmeritrade, deposit some money, then start trading. I would also recommend opening up a investor hub account. Start with some penny stocks so you get the hang of it. Then maybe move up to the blue chip stocks.

I just buy cryptos. They are quite literally my planned retirement. Ira if you will, funny for something so new volatile and speculative, but hey , I'm young I'll either do super well or have to start from scratch saving at 40. And hey I know simply divorced guys (invested I wrong woman I reckon) who are worse off then I would be just losing my "retirement" money.
