I was on ebay earlier and saw this driver link
I was wondering if anyone has ever used one and your thoughts on it? I have a 200w 12v power supply I'm trying to use to drive a
Vero 29 or other cob . Either way I ordered one so if no one has tried it, I'll post back up with a little review on it.

Strange that a DC-DC converter cost as much as an AC driver with power source. Its hard to say if it will have the voltage/current that you want as it depends on the input source. I know from experience that my 12V truck does not light up LED's the same as when I use a 12V source from the wall. They both use a DC-DC converter (flashlight driver)
Find out the amount of CURRENT the diodes likes to be driven at, get a CONSTANT CURRENT driver. Match the VOLTAGE output of the driver to the sum of the diodes's voltages (i.e three 3v diodes need a 9v power supply, four =12v, etc). Don't overdo it. You will find a voltage range that the diodes use, calculate the upper limit and lower limit and shoot for in-between. The Voltage will adjust according to the load on the driver.

Yeah the price is high but it's somewhat enclosed an has a screen with the current an voltage. I'm putting together a light from mostly spare parts I have laying around for vegging . I have some 20w cobs left from a old led fixture I built for my reef tank 14k an actinic hybrids that I was going to use but I think a Vero 29 would work better.
The 20w cobs I have are 9-11v 2000ma the Vero I was looking at run 50v 2100ma , the power supply is for a Xbox 360 I use it to run random 12v stuff I'm messing with . It's 12v 16.5 amps 203 watts output.
I prefer ac to DC driver but a 80w driver wasn't very cheap I would rather put any extra cash into my flower lights. My flower light is going to be Vero 29's an meanwell drivers controlled with a arduino controller. That an if it don't work like I want I'll use it charge batteries for my vaporizer.
