CBDFarms Never Ending Garden
    #776700 - 04/21/15 04:42 PM (8 years, 11 months ago)

Well I thought I start my journal sooner rather than later haha. ill start with a video update and move on to pictures and more video updates.
I run promix HP in smart pots/ghetto smart pots, haha, and I use Fox farms nutes(tried others just like FF and the price isn't that bad) I wanted to try organic but making a compost pile seems like a no no with all my dogs haha.
The 3 biggest are white widow x orange haze
the babies are:
Purple OG 18
Sleestack
Trainwreck
Amnesia Haze
Critical Kush
Banana Og
and a bagseed from Australia.

I am in need of pollen(from known strains not bagseed) and would gladly make it worth your time. Please PM me if interested. Anyway off to the grow.

Get a big.dog. I know someone would think twice if they came in my yard with a barking, defensive, German Shepherd.

I have a dutch shepherd. I'll look up the legalities of growing outdoors within my city limits but I think as long as my gate is locked I'm good to go. I just know the people across the way have had their house broken into a couple times and I would prefer not to have that serious of a situation arise in the first place.

Get a big dog like stated. German Shepherds are the easiest guard dogs IMO. They just do anything to make their master Happy.

Yep that's exactly my thought! Not many people want to come to my house with 3 big dogs. We have a Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, and Cane Corso x rottweiler mix(still a puppy but should be 110+ pounds)

Oh cool you do have a dog, well if you ever do decide to grow outdoors do what I do... Make it known you have big dogs...

People also see them play like this and they think "oh shit" and Ive never had the cops called once and ive had 10 foot+ plants.

They  grew over the already bigger fence we had built but oh well.

what does pollen do to the plant chemically?
would it increase the amount of CBD?

It pollinates the plants and makes seeds.

EDIT: Think of it this way. The pollen is sperm, and the bud is the egg... I can go further into it and talk about the calyx and how the seed(s) are formed and held, but that requires a write up lol.

Nice garden!  I'm jealous I cannot grow outdoors either.  For sure some ice head would steal my shit before its even able to be smoked.  Even if I did have a yard, a dog would not be enough to scare them away.  If the dog tears their throats out, I would be held accountable.  Fucking tweakers lol.

Hawaiian Isles.  Some of the strangest laws that protect people that commit burglary or domestic abuse.  Police are rampant here too.  They actually lobbied against a bill that would make it illegal for police to have sex with prostitutes while on the job.  Not all of them are bad, but holy shit do we have some scum on the force lol.

Your garden makes me so jelly lol.  How much are you expecting to pull from each plant?

Wow... That doesn't sound like fun... Cops already kill unarmed people and get away with it, how much more power do they want.... Makes me want to move to the U.K. where there are no police.

I rather do indoor, I just don't have the room, but i do like growing outdoor as I can have more plant and let them grow taller.

It's hard to say exactly how much I will pull, but lets say all plants are 6 feet tall, I would get around 5-8 ounces dry weight per plant(depending on strain, pheno, etc). If I let them get 8-10 feet plus like I like, I get a lot more weight. 10 ounces+ dry usually. but most the time I turn my buds into wax while its still wet(live resin) so I can skip the curing process and wait. I feel I also get more resin/thc build up compared to when it's dry.

This is some of my outdoor product... Good enough to smoke, but I rather turn it into wax like so(what it turned into)

You learn pretty quickly how to deal with the cops here.  Many of them are roided out and will beat the shit out of you if you piss them off.  Nobody gets shot up by the fuzz here, but beatdowns and theft is common if you piss them off.

This happened a block from my place.  The cop still kept his job and walked free despite solid evidence.

You don't like your flowers?  I don't think I could give up my flowers for wax.  I love the taste way too much.  Dab pens are amazing for stealth mode in public though.  Same reason I like my dabs with a fuller terp profile than something that is super refined.  I find with dabs that the effect is the same for me for different strains.  It is just hybrid, sativa, or indica dabs lol.

Believe me cops get away with way too much... I had one threaten to shoot my dog in my own house, after I was robbed at gun point by someone... That was the one time i called the police(i was 17. Im 21 now) and never will I again... I learned my lesson...
I don't like flowers in general because I have Crohns and wax just hits me 100x faster, better, and I just like it more and since I can make it, I don't have to pay the 30+ dollar price for grams. Win win for me.

That is so shitty.  Dogs are the most common victims of police violence.  Dogs get shot all the time here and the officers just shrug it off and say it was impeding the investigation.  Ahh you have a medical need for a stronger medicine than I do.  I have two herniated discs in my neck and boney overgrowth on my vertebrae.  Flowers go a long way for my pain relief though.  Hitting dabs makes my head feel like it's going to explode and I chew the fuck out of my tongue for some reason.

I really want to check out some 1:1 CBD strains, but I imagine it would be hard for me to tell if I got an actual CBD pheno from a seed without access to a lab.  I wish I had some local grower friends that I could trade cuts with.

It is sad, and 90 percent of the time it seems the dog was in its own backyard or house protecting it's property when they kill them... I mean you kill a police dog you get 20 to life... Where is the justice?
That sucks, you must have bad neck pain.
Dabbing helps me as I wake up every morning feeling like I am going to throw up, gagging, nauseous, and it happens randomly throughout the day, so it sucks. That's also why I like dabbing better as it hits more immediately, and at work it smells less and I can get away with it. My doctors were surprised as I am only 21. I am 5'11 and only weight 110 pounds,i had intussusception as well. It's where your small intestine goes inside your large intestine like how a telescope closes. I was throwing up for a week straight 24/7 and lost 20 pounds. I wish I could have a stomach/intestine transplant haha. But that's my life...  I too like to trade, but am not sure if this board is trade/swap friendly. I am also on cannabisknowledge, and they are fine with it which is nice. I was looking for some pollen and got a huge response haha. I too am looking into high CBD strains like CBD crew. They have a 1:1 and sometimes it seems higher. They have lab results on there actual website. I forgot what strain but it had 15 percent cbd. http://www.gorilla-cannabis-seeds.co.uk/cbdcrew

Ya that is such a sad reality.

The pain is pretty manageable.  It freaked me out hard at first because the left side of my face and arm went numb and couldn't close my left eye.  Thought I had a stroke and the doctors didn't figure out the problem for months.  I was 205lbs a little over a year ago and am 152 now.  The appetite and sleep loss is more of a problem for me then the direct pain. For some reason, bud doesn't make me hungry at all, but it relieves the nausea when I force myself to eat.

Sounds like you have it rough man.  I have a really weak stomach without any problems with it, so I can't even imagine what you are going through.  I worked with a guy that had a ton of areas in his intestines that bubble out like a hernia.  Would be fine one minute and in the back throwing up the next.  It's a shame he doesn't live in a medical state :/.

We don't encourage illegal activity on the boards, but it's good to make a few friends.  Some members share with the community though.  Like every message board, we have chill peeps and creepers lol.  Small community, so you should be able to tell very quickly who is legit or not.  Can get pretty quiet here sometimes so it's good to have some new members

How did you herniate your neck if you don't mind me asking? And the doctors were the same with me... First they just thought my GERD was acting up, then they thought it was the intussusception, and so on until the finally said... "well you are young, but you might have Crohns"(then testing) so after a few months of me going to the ER every other week. They find out.
Ahh I get, keep it to PM kinda of thing.
I like smaller communities. Better people, more people that actually grow, and no little kids saying "is this weed" like on Grasscity... I hate that site...

The pain onset kind of suddenly.  I fell off of a roof about 12 years ago but didn't seem to leave any permanent injury.  The docs think that it was degradation due to me overcompensating for my injury and it finally gave way.  There is a whole lot of things wrong with that area, but they can't seem to figure out exactly what is causing the pain. The whole thing has been an emotional rollercoaster because of all the scary shit they tested me for.  I'm not letting them operate on me again unless I cannot handle anymore though. Just the blessings of sweet Mary Jane lol.

Man, I don't know how I would have taken it to deal with something like that at your age.  I'm pissed that I'm 30 with a permanent problem.  You might not be too far off from seeing an actual treatment for it though.  Medical science is changing at a very rapid pace.  Stem cell research has been coming along nicely ever since Bush was out of office, and scientists have been coming up with methods to grow new organs in labs, and being able to 3D print certain organs.  There might be a cure for you sooner than later.

I like the smaller community here too.  I was originally from the sister site, but it has run rampant with the same kind of scum you would find on 4chan.  I remember seeing that on grasscity when i was considering signing up.  No thanks, I dont support kids getting high.

That sucks. Good thing is at least your aren't paralyzed. If only you needed one of those 30 min- 1 hour neck surgeries they show on TV haha.
It would be cool if they found a cure for crohns. They don't even know how or why it happens or what could cause it. They think it runs in families but thats all the info they have on it. So... until then marijuana and zofran(anti-nausea they give to chemotherapy, crohns, and surgery patients) when I really need it. It justs a really strong drug and im scared for my liver/kidneys.
If we 3D printed organs it would remind me of that movie called Repo men where people finance organs and if they can't afford it, it gets taken back haha.

I am just not a fan of grasscity altogether from the people to the mods/admins.

I saw a Dog Whisperer where they solved a problem between 2 dogs who played aggressive like that. He made it seem really simple to do. Somehting with a muzzle.

Ya German shepards are probably the best home security dogs imo. I had 3 growing up and the rare times they got out of the house they would just circle the perimeter untill someone noticed they were gone. People are afraid of german shepards for some reason. I don't see them as scary looking dogs like I do doberman pinscher.

good grow. hope you got some good shit!

It' sounds like it might be bullshit

All marijuana has to be cured to be smoked unless you are going to be blasting it to make "live resin" wax.

Haha I hope you go legal soon then my friend.

Last two of the season both 15 + feet. I  harvested 1/5 of a plant recently and make some live resin(posted shots in my BHO log) but these are hardy plants. WInter temps dont scare her haha.

Yeah it can be a hassle sometimes, but the yield is worth it.

Thanks a lot man. Growing outdoors is great as you can get huge yields just have to watch out for pests and mold.

You mean.. you don't even save just a little of the flowers to smoke?  Not even a taste?

I love some kief, its good.  Never had bho, or "shatter" etc. so I have no idea what thats all about.  Man I love the taste of different crystal buds.

When you do the bho, does it refine the taste out of it?  Like if you had some diesel something, and then a vermont breeze, whatever, blue dream.. and you made bho out of each one seperatly, would the end result taste differently?

Generally no. Truth be told I am not a big fan buds(doesn't mean I wont smoke it) but I prefer wax. I have Crohns and SMAS so that maybe why, as wax directly hits you and it's much more intense, like comparing beer to hard liquor.  When I do BHO I do mostly live resin(live resin is fresh material right after you cut the plant, you don't let it cure) and it carries over the terps more so then normal BHO. So it's more flavorful. Yes different strains have different tastes/terps and will taste different. Also not all strains will turn to shatter, especially if making a live resin run as the material is still alive and wet, the trichomes haven't become brittle, etc.

Take a look at my BHO thread.

Huh, like fruit roll ups.  What's an average 'dose' size.  What do you do, take little scissors and cut a eighth inch square off and fire it up?

It all depends on the person. Most people(escpecially if new to wax and tolerance is low) 1 hit will do you. 1 "dose" normally equates to .07 to .15. Some people do bigger some do smaller but that is the Average. This is what a .1 of wax looks like below. Now to take a dab you need something called a nail and a dabber/carb cap. You get your dabber(little metal stick basically) and press it against a small piece of wax and "snap" the wax off. Or if the wax is crumble, just press it on the dabber so it sticks, heat up your nail, and dab. They have 3 different types of nails/dabbers. Titanium(considered the best.) Ceramic(considered the most flavorful way to dab) and quartz(glass, weak, basic set up)  The carb cap is optional but it allows for a bigger hit as it traps the smoke in the rig.  They also have domeless nails which do not need a dome to cover the smoke. They are more expensive but work better. Below Ill attach an old video of mine with a quartz nail and dabbing. If you ever get into dabbing smaller rigs work better, try to get a titanium domeless nail/carb cap set up(look up highly educated)
