 Minors, marijuana, alcohol: Party leads to arrest of Miss. woman

The Lee County Sheriff's Dept. arrested the homeowner at a party where alcohol was served and minors were present.
Angie Floyd, 47, is out on $6,000 bond after deputies shut down the party where marijuana and two guns were also found.
"The degree we had here, and the potential problem, was the worst I've ever seen," Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said
Sheriff Johnson said there were over a hundred people inside the home, many of whom were minors.
"As a parent and as the sheriff, it was sickening to see that this was allowed to go on," Sheriff Johnson said.
Floyd told the sheriff that the party was advertised at her home without her knowledge and she could not control the number of people that arrived.
Sheriff Johnson said Floyd did not make his department aware that she needed any assistance.
Neighbors say that they were warned about the party in advance. It was her son's 17th birthday.
Floyd is charged with seven counts of breaking the social hosting law.
Sheriff Johnson said Floyd could face additional charges.
Floyd is a social worker with the Mississippi Department of Human Services, WTVA reported.
Mississippi's "social host" law — passed in 2011 — punishes adults who knowingly host gatherings where people younger than 21 consume alcohol. It carries penalties of up to 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for the adult.
