 Woman charged with weed, found in pepper seasoning container

CRESTVIEW, FL - A 24-year-old Crestview woman is accused of having weed after turning over a red pepper seasoning glass container with a green, leafy substance inside.
Crestview Police officers spoke to the woman on Dec. 12 after her vehicle was reported as suspicious, according to the arrest report. She was sitting in the front passenger seat, and the officer smelled marijuana.
When he asked the woman if there was anything he needed to be aware of in the vehicle, she reached behind the seat and took a “red pepper seasoning glass container” out of her purse, the report said. She handed it to the officer, who noted that it had marijuana in it.
The woman gave the officer consent to search the vehicle, during which he found a baggie of marijuana and two partially smoked marijuana cigarettes, according to the report.
The woman is charged with possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her next scheduled court date is Jan. 6.
