Okay, so I made a huge rookie mistake.. One that I really regret now. I had a male plant as Hawks pointed out to me in Doctors. It was 32 days into flower and spewing its pollen allover my space. What do I do.. Do I need to do anything, to get rid of the pollen in the room?
I'm pretty agitated cause I was sure It was female.. Live and learn I guess. Just wasted a bit of nutes and time on this plant. Babying it.. When infact I should have been flushing it down the damn toilet!!

I posted in your thread in DD, but I'll say it here too: water will kill the pollen, but you have a TON of it because all the flowers came to full maturity. The only thing you can do is hose down the space and then clean like you have OCD. Get everywhere! Think about the spaces in between the keys on your keyboard, bookcase corners, anywhere that dust collects in your house, etc.
I asked over in the other thread, but if you want to, we can keep it in this thread: I'm curious about your 3 previous grows, specifically if you've only ever grown from clones.

Last one was from clones from a friend, best grow ive seen. The one before that i used growery to help sex.

Well it seems like you'll know now with certainty in the future. Regardless, you can always post a pic on here as your babies start showing sex, it's a quick ID, so you'll get a lot of responses and we're happy to help any way we can.
Another follow-up: did you have other females in the room? That's a really healthy looking male, so you might get some cool genetics from the seeds.

No unfortunately now that you point that out i kinda wish i did. I got so pissed after reading hawks responce, I grabbed my shears and started cutting. It made me feel better. Did my best to keep the pollen on the buds though lol

What do you mean by "keep the pollen off the buds"?
If you don't have a female, you don't have any smokable buds.
You just need to chop the plant off at the base and pitch it, and start another round of seeds/clones.
If you want to try to get something out of the plant you could try hash or try cooking with it, but IMO it'll be a waste of time.

link? I think this is an exaggeration. Males don't have the concentration of psychoactives that female plants do. It's the male "job" to create and spread pollen, and the female puts her energy toward resin production in order to "catch" pollen. (yes this is an oversimplfication)
Looking at the picture, I don't see any visible trichome formation on this male plant, so you'd mainly be smoking chlorophyll.

Male leaves seem stronger than male flowers. Only when you aren't smoking bud with a tolerance you can really notice the subtler high from leaves, it's a different high too for me, not as good, not as focused during the high. This is comparing leaves without trichomes being smoked to trichome containing materials. Almost as if the plant material contains some other cannaboid(sp?) in higher numbers than the trichomes do, and you can notice that one without smoking trichome containing plant material. This would only be a part of a normal high, so it doesn't feel complete. That would explain what is going on when I smoke them.

Oh really? Where's the bad advice? Are you speaking of me recommending using a sulfur burner to treat PM? If that's the case then maybe you should take into consideration that when someone recommends a treatments, it is not their responsibility to walk them through how to use it step by step. People need to research what there about to use, and if they are confused or don't know how to properly use an item, they should ask questions BEFORE using. Not after they already have proceeded to use said treatment without doing any research.
And yes, their are many cannabinboids in marijuana, and obviously a lot of these are not found in the trichomes. Hence why after making bubble hash you can still use the plant material to make butter or oil. But then you already know that right?
There is a TINY amount of cannabinoids in male plants, hardly enough to get high off of. This has been documented in MANY books. Maybe you should do some reading and research before you make claims. Maybe you should reread your post, it doesn't appear as a theory, just that you are smoking leaves which is pretty ridiculous to begin with.
As to not listening to advice I give, why don't you put up or shut up.

This post is not about smoking males. Its about clearing my room of pollen after I fucked up a sex.
Hawk is probably the most helpful person here 98% of the time, and since this post is about clearing pollen from MY growroom, really the only thing that matters here is my opinion of his advice. And frankly, who here has ever heard of smoking the leaves of a male plant to get high. Cause frankly, If you could, wouldent they be for sale? Even if its just for cooking?
Tell you what. Lets see your grow, lets see Hawks grow. Then lets decide who I should listen to.
