A brief history of Tainted Love

The original was by Gloria Jones in the sixties and has great slightly creepy rockabilly rhythm and blues feel to it. Soft Cell did a great cover in 1981 with a sound that suggests homoeroticism. Coil's version sounds like it must be about a lover who was infected with AIDS. Marilyn Manson's version will hopefully be forgotten.
