Wow, This is the first time i've heard his music but i've read a lot about him of wiki and he seemed like an interesting guy.

Good music too. It it at all or was it ever mainstream..?

He started gaining a cult following (even until this day) after his death. He overdosed on anti-depressants, although it is still under speculation whether or not it was a suicide.

His three records are all incredible. I recommend Pink Moon to start.
