. Are you growing from seed or clones? SEED 2. How old are your plants? about 30 days 3. How tall are your plants? 3"-5" 4. What type of hydro system are you using? DWC 5. What brand/type of nutrients are you using? GH Floragro / Micro 6. What is the Ph of your nutrient solution? ranging form 5.9-6.4 7. What is the PPM/EC of your tap water? n/a 8. What is the PPM/EC of your nutrient solution? n/a 9. What is the temperature of your nutrient solution? 75*F 10. Does your PPM/EC show a rise or fall when you do your daily PPM check? i cant tell 11. Does your pH show a rise or fall when you do your daily check? seems to raise 12. Do you foliar feed or spray your plants with anything? spray bottle , dipped suction into nute gro / micro 13. What kind of lights do you use and how many watts combined? (HPS, MH, fluorescent, halogen, incandescent "plant lights")MH 400 14. How close are your lights to the plants? less than a foot 15. What size is your grow space in square feet? 7.5 16. What is the temperature and humidity in your grow space? 17. Have you noticed any insect activity in your grow space? ants crawling around sometimes (basement) 18. How much experience do you have growing? not very
basically im getting droopy leaves, roots that keep falling apart (was slimy earlier), and two of plants decided to stunt growth and are dying.
using a 10Gal res, two airstones (8"+6")and the water level is just at the bottom of the pots (just refilled today) using 18tbsp (little less than 2.4tbps/gal) of floragrow 2-1-6 and using... about 12tbps of flora micro 5-0-1
it did have a really bad problem with algae and a friend of mine can agree it could be that, the pH shock (went from 6.8 to 5.3 in one cleaning, then up to 6.2 over two days)
also thinking it could be a Phosphorus deficiency, since i dont have a bottle of bloom.
could have been the lights too high (was about 2ft above, earlier) also could have been overwatering... idk how fast it'll kick back in however
i use about 2tbps to lower pH from 6.8 to about 5.9 about 7-7.5gal water in the res
Anyone have any tips on lowering Res Lighting as well? im out of tape, so im thinking about demolishing a dark green/black shirt and folding it ontop of it
hope to hear from somone.... grasscity is GARBAGE
changed some things around today, so im hoping to see something change
one plant lost all green on the first leaf set, and the stems are turning a mild purple again

Do you now have a lid on your res? This is imperative, light on a nutrient solution causes algae growth. Do you have air stones bubbling over every root system? You also need to get a PPM meter so we can determine what the nutrient strength is.
Stop spraying them, no need for that.

yes, a lid is present, however, light still seeps through. bubbles under every root mass i'll stop spraying as well.
my test strips are asking me nitrate/nitrite levels ppm hardness ppm alkalinity (KH)ppm pH
i'll take some picture of my setup in a moment

Well a little light isn't that big of a deal. Is this a recirculating system? And can you bring the temp of the water down about 10 degrees.

I think you're over feeding the shit out of your plants man.
Completely change the res, and replace with plain water for a day. Then add 2.5ml per gal of Grow and Micro.

I have no idea what kind of internet access I'm going to have in the next 5 days or so. I'm heading down to NOR/Cal/SoOr to do some trimming. I'll try and check up on ya though, and see if things are going all right.

left about 2" of the nute water in the res, drained the rest and replaced with water a little below the net pots.
thanks again for the advice, be sure to take nice pics of the trimmings!

I'm just following the back label even though I'm using less than what it says. I need help with my roots, and I clean every week to ten days. Running at 18 hours on. From what I've heard, it's not root rot, but a mysterious slime.

I use half of what they suggest. And then work my way up.
If you want to take care of the slime, use physan 20.

WELL GUYS. shit went crazy in 2 days. everything was OKAY, then the slime turned instabrown, and cause the center of my leaves to gold over in less than a day (inwards, outwards)
i'd say 3 or the 6 are in critical condition, so i transplanted them to an outdoor grow medium.
the female is in a new res (much smaller, with single airstone to herself)
brought the outdoor plant inside (plant and forget) (7th plant)
>6 plants indoors (ones dead), 1 plant outdoors >transplanted one to soil, -leaving him inside- >transplanted 3 more to soil -leaving outdoors- >brought originally outdoor plant indoors
id expect them to like perlite, vermiculite, peatmoss and garden soil, cause im having a hard time with these fuckers

3 plants are dead.
Transferred the female to soil because the root issue causes the mystery algae to grow regardless of light All plants in soil now.
I don't expect anything from them now.
Can you clone plants without rootin hormone? Also, I have more seeds of blackberry, so ill probably try growing them.
What should I keep in mind for now >less nute >closer lights >better ventilation >more h2o2 >stabile Ph
