So, I have a friend who is from the east coast, and he's given me a whole lot of things to think about with my grow. He used to grow outdoors back in North Carolina, and he's got a decent amount of good information...
One thing he's told me I am having a bit of trouble believing though... he tells me that the indoor growers he used to know would put their plants into flower for a couple weeks, and once the girls are in full bloom, they dial up the lights back to 18 hours a day. He says they claimed the girls would keep flowering just fine, and you can make a small emergency space in there for your vegging plants.
Has anyone here ever heard of this tactic? If its true, it could be very useful to me, since I don't have an HID light for the veg room anymore...
Actually, I do need an HID to veg with. Otherwise my veg room won't keep up with the flower room.
Please don't try to assume you know my set-up better than I do. Its just as bad as someone popping into my thread and saying "Oh, you'll yeild twice that with LED's!" I don't give a fuck what your OPINION is. I'm asking for factual evidence that pertains to my specific scenario. If you don't have anything. Worthwhile to add, please GTFO my thread.

Nope, I had that same thought... he said these guys would keep their mother in the flower room because after about 3-4 weeks, they could bump it up to 18hrs and it would keep flowering, but if. They. Switched the lights too soon, it would revert back to veg...
