That I can use a 150W HPS with the ballast that's included in one set with a 150W MH? There is an offer from a grow supply vendor for a 150W MH-kit with a Phillips MH bulb and a ballast included and I'm just wondering if the same wattage "Sylvana" HPS they sell can be used with the same kit. What do you call it? Conversion bulb?

What type of ballast is it? MOST digital ballasts are auto switchable but not all. Most magnetic ballasts are NOT auto switching. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong. I know electrical wiring better than I know grow lights.

If you know how to wire them up you could just buy a mh magnetic ballast and wire it up when it is time to change your lights over. You could also build in a toggle switch to make your own manually switchable ballast. Make sure you know how to wire it up before considering that though.

Cool. I did notice that this ballast uses 230V. Is that available to you where you are growing? Just wanted to confirm. Good luck
