That's just one step of many.
That is if the lodge follows the old rules.
Many don't do things the old way, tho.

That's sort of what I'm curious about. What exactly do the masons accomplish? Or is it seriously just a nothing club where you get in if you're awesome enough?

Our lodge helps kids with dyslexia, feeds homeless and impoverished, helps people who have been horrifically burned, hosts a summer camps for disadvantaged youth.  There is a lot of support we show for one another and our families too, especially when times get rough.  Otherwise, it does a lot of things that other fraternities do.  College fraternities support the same kind of bonds that the Masonic fraternity does.  People leave college fraternities and give special privileges to their fraternity brothers for the rest of their lives.

Masonry also uses symbolism, stories, and teaching systems to help individuals grow and seek paths of fulfillment.  It is non-denominational.  Three of the members of our lodge do not believe in the Bible at all, but we still all get along.  Some lodges use Buddhist scriptures, Korans, or whatever spiritual book is most commonly used by the members of the lodge.  It is a pretty open system.  About the only men that can't join are convicted felons and atheists.

The fact that people get so excited over Masonic conspiracy is very amusing.  Any group with as many members as the Masons will eventually find haters.  And any big group eventually gets a few bad apples.  In fact, it gives me an ego boost every time someone makes the Masons out to be more than what they are.  I'm not going to stop someone from thinking I am a part of a group that controls the world's destiny.  That's too much fun and fantasy for me to pass up.

Know your role

What degree are you
Master Mason?

I think not

You are nothing more than a pawn in this game of theirs

In the back of the masonic bible

Do you know who Osiris is ?

What about Amen Ra ?

:vaped:
But, I'm not going to argue

Also
Did you know it is based on Jewish brotherhood?

Go to that link an read dude ...All the info is gathered there

And research it yourself an try to make that page out to be a lie ....
Your buddies have tried already but
Go for it

( I am not saying all mason are evil/bad )

Most do not know what they have really became a part of

....Like you

I am a Master Mason.  It was an enjoyable process getting there.

I know the deities you refer to and I am completely ok with any relationship they have to Masonry.  To say that I did my homework ahead of time would be an understatement.    I was very well versed in Egyptology and older cultures before joining.  In fact, the multiple layers of symbolism and ties to cultures and beliefs was part of why I joined.

Judaism definitely has touched the Masonic system, but to far less of a degree than it has greatly influenced other systems like Christianity.  To say Masonry is based on the Jewish Brotherhood is very convoluted and short sighted.  Masonry is based on tenants older than Judaism.

This is amusing.

I walked in the front door and asked them who they were and what they did.  I did it in a friendly and non-combative way.  I wasn't looking for an argument, just to hear what they had to say.  I was very familiar with the popular mythology around them, so I went in to check out for myself.

I don't know where you live, but they are in every US state and most countries.  Do a web search and you can probably find some local phone numbers or regional contacts.

just google  (your city) + "masonic lodge" or "masonic temple".  There is one in every city.  even small towns around here with like 500 ppl, have masonic meetings (sometimes at the town hall ).

The lodge near me is trippy.  its in the core downtown, all brick, and all the windows have been concreted over so u cant peek in or break in.  There lots of lodges in bigger citys.

Are all lodges windowless?

There is 47 masonic temples in my province (and i live in the prairies of canada (very low population).

this website has a form where you can apply to be a member.  Id check it out but im not into weird rituals, and blood oaths for secrecy (easy to find on google).  Plus imo its just a organization like religion used to control you in the end.

That is funny.  I can see where all of those would be used in Masonry (albeit, the paddle was probably a misinterpretation of the actual tool - I bet he saw a trowel, gavel, or other tool).  Any new member gets familiar with the rope and blindfold on day 1.

Most meetings are closed to anyone but members, but there are specially formatted ceremonies that take exception and allow visitors.

Many lodges have several rooms and lots of windows, but the ceremonial lodge is typically windowless.

Your opinion about control is valid, but not necessarily accurate.  I do agree that is the point of organized religion.  Masonry doesn't require religion.  The requirements for membership could be seen as controlling, but that would depend on the circumstances.

The _____ is dedicated to God, the _____ to the
Master, and the ____ to the craft?

If this answer is true

Then how come Amen Ra along with other Egyptian Gods are in what is dedicated to god ( the bible )

Supposedly

And p.s

( I'm not a christian )

A Mason is charged with three great duties. Which
are they?
