It kinda looks like a giant avocado seed?
Wet towel method 
First thing that came to mind was cut an x into it and suspend that part in water using toothpicks or something.

I think I might pick up where my parents left off, especially if there's a convenient grow log I could look up conveniently on this site I frequent. hmmm hydroponically grown avocados...

Nahh but it will be mentioned in whatever grow log i have going at the time, It will eventually go outside in a big hole full of FFOF 
I also will have tomatoes, brussel sprouts, and water melons going this year

I thought of it but it would be too massive by the time it produced fruits. Too big for hydro, but I might be wrong

If and when I ever get around to growing something tree-like, I'll probably bonsai it. I think that would look cool as shit! I miniature fruit tree just chillin making fruit and shit.

Sometimes they will begin setting fruit after they are three or four years old. It helps to have several avocado trees growing together to aid with pollination.

well, if you plan to live that long and you're still growing, I don't see why not! I don't think everything, especially gifts of nature are about instant gratification

I am in my late 20's, I think I will make it that long
