 My Perpetual Soil Grow (Nirvina's PPP Strain and more to come!)

Hey guys i have 2 PPP in flower right now, coming up on week 8 right now, plan on harvesting in the next few weeks depending on trichrome color.
A few weeks before we switched the light cycle to 12/12 we cut 6 clones, after some drastic changes and switching to a aeroponic cloner 4 out of 6 clones rooted, we put them in FFOF soil in pots. we then purchased a 2x4x5' grow tent now the 4 clones are in there and are growing quite bushy. Here are some Facts JACK!
Veg Tent
Lighting: (2) 4' T8 64watt florescent strip lights and (2) clamp on 25w CFL (Variety of spectrum) 18/6 light schedule.
Ventilation
(2) 4'' Inline Booster Fans for Intake/Outtake @75CFM Each
Small Desk Fan for circulation
Space heater with thermostat is located outside the tent right near the intake so the temperature doesn't drop to low, going to get a thermostat for the tent soon.
Soil
1 part organic potting soil, 2 parts Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Nutrients
Shultz 10-15-10 plant food (only given a very low strength about every 4th watering.
Flowering Closet
Lighting: 360W MH to HPS Lamp with a Fan Cooled 400watt coopers remote ballast and large wing style reflector (4) 23w 6500k CFL's on clamp mounts located under canopy and for added side lighting.
Ventilation
6'' MTN Gearsmith Centrifugal inline fan w/ Carbon filled air scrubber @440 CFM and (2) 6'' Inline booster Fans @125 CFM Each (Plenty of ventilation humidity stays low but thats good for a flowering plant i suppose.
Soil
Loews organic potting soil
Nutrients
Unknown type of plant food given to us by a friend, unsure of the npk rating i know thats not good we only fed it a few times during flower, i think it was still using the time released nutrients that were in the soil. next time we flower will be on a tight feeding schedule so dont hate please!

ya i was a lil skeptical at first, but was really easy to make once i got into it, im thinking of going all hydro soon, but for now im just going to clone with the aeroponics machine then veg/flower in soil. We just switched the light cycle today at 8 weeks. They are on a 12/12 right now with 7 24w CFL's (i know were not suppose to flower with cfl but the plants are gettin so big we needed to do it. also i will be ordering a 400watt hps system some time next week so i am working on gettin that in there asap. Clones are doing good, they look great and are actually starting to grow new shoots, but still no signs of roots. ill keep ya guys updated

So we put the new ballast in the grow room, hung the reflector and screwed the 360watt mh to hps conversion bulb and everything looks great. The temps how ever went up about 15*F. Im thinking of buying a big inline fan that sucks alot of air, it just cant be to loud because of neighbors. Going to do a little shopping tonight ill keep ya updated!

thanks for the compliments! just search iso hash on google, the method is fairly simple. next batch will be with the trim from my PPP plants and about 7g of actual bud and will be refined a few times to get pure golden gooey hashish!
i dont have any pictures of the clones as of right now so here is an update from my flower journal
[COLOR="Red"]PICTURE UPDATE![/COLOR]
ok so we installed the new thermostat. we hung it with jack chain right near the canopy of the plants so it gets a good reading of the temperature. we have it set for 80*F so if it goes over 80* it will kick on the 6'' inline fan and the 2 6'' booster fans. seems to be working good pretty excited about it. on the other hand the plants look pretty good,
plant #2 looks 100% healthy very lush green and it has pretty much caught up in height compared to plant #1 and i almost feel like the buds are more dense on it as well. It should be noted that we have a cfl pointed directly at plant #2 and the other plant does not, also the HPS is facing plant #2 so maybe it is gettin more light than the other one. the only thing i can think to fix this is to put another HPS in. We obviously wont do that till the next batch

we are coming up on the 8th week of flower on Tuesday -ish. its hard for me to figure out the exact day because i haven't been documenting that closely. people say the longer the better with this strain but i am defiantly gettin impatient. i am going to buy a microscope tomorrow to see where i am at with the color of the thrichromes, ive herd that the less amber they are the more of a head high and less couch lock so i would rather have them 75% cloudy and 25% amber, im more into head high.

While i know many will contest what i am about to say, tricomb color has almost nothing to do with the type of high you get, its all CBD levels.High CBD levels give a body or couch lock high, while low gives a head high.
When you start seeing amber tric's you have hit the peak harvest window. the change in color is showing that the tric matured and soon will be starting to degrade, if you wait long enough you will see the amber tric's actually break as if they had been chopped down, at that point your actually losing THC content and peak harvest has passed.

in my experience this is a common myth, just like how you can tell plant maturity from pistals browning, while for some strains browning or redding of the pistals does tell peak harvest, other strains will have 90% white pistals even at peak harvest time...but trics don't lie... once u see 10% or more amber tric's you are entering peak harvest time.

ok cool, yeah cause i looked at some bud that i bought today under the microscope and all the thrichromes were cloudy and amber, a pretty good mix of both i would say more cloudy than amber but not by much. Ill post pics soon!
I have Blue Planet Nutrients on their way for my 4 ppp clones that are in veg. keeping them on a strict feeding schedule will be a weary task

the 4 PPP Clones that are vegging are in Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil and Store bought Organic Soil. its a mix of both. I was having drainage issues with my pots so i am thinking of re potting into happy frog soil.

Question about plant in flower?
so plant #1 is looking a litte pale. Its light green. Plant #2 is still lush green looks great. but plant #1 (left side) the leaves on it are just light green. The bud still looks ok its gotta be some sort of deficiency. We haven't been feeding either plants that much since we flowered them. but we have been giving them the same amount of nutes as each other so why does one look different? plant #1 has also always been taller than plant #2, is it possible that plant #1 could finish before plant#2? the plants are just about 8 weeks old, i continue on flowering for a nother 3 weeks. Is it possible that since i didn't feed my plants enough during flower they are not going to produce potent thricomes? i looked at some of the trichomes under a 100x microscope and they still look clear and immature. just some thoughts i had thanks guys!

ok so the plants are still looking good! plant #1 that was turning light green is starting to get its color back, seems like their is more Trichromes on both the plants so they are defiantly still developing. i gave both the plants a low strength dose of shultz 10-15-10 liquid plant food. Temps have gotten as high as 91*f and as low as 65*F at night. THe plants dont seem to mind the high heat, plus the fan is doing a tremendous job of keeping the grow room dry. We snapped a bunch of pictures, some of them are the ones i took last week but you should be able to tell the difference. Gettin close to harvest, next wensday will be the start of week 9, so we are gettin close but still have to wait. Thanks for checkin in!

Got some pictures finally. the plants look great, they are starting to really fill in, the 2 i topped have concentrated their energy to other "tops" so looks like it is working, i just topped another one of them today, well see what happens, heres some pics! thanks man, im really excited about everything right now, everything is going pretty smooth i just hope nothing fucks up now with the 2 flowering plants. i am really impressed with the clones, they are gettin huge and we have nutrients coming in tomorrow, going to repot into 10'' flower pots with FFOF soil. hey thanks guys im a little worried about running out of space when we go to flower, i may move the clones into the flowering closet as soon as we harvest the 2 plants that are flowering, that would be the end of this month probably going to have to tie the plant down and stuff because the one that i topped (The plant all the way to the right in the veg tent) has 2 tops going the opposite way of each other so they are going to get heavy and going to need to be tied up or propped up. The nutrients i ordered got damaged now they have to be sent back out i am however still planning on re-potting the clones into new pots and ffof soil so if i do ill try to get some pics up. later!

yA I would agree with that, any thing is addictive really. but growing is defiantly fun, its cool to bring something to life and watch it grow, and its cheaper than a kid! Going to start flushing the 2 flowering plants this week and hopefully will be transplanting the 4 clone plants into new containers, after that i plan on taking 2-3 cuttings off of each plant and putting them in my improved aerocloner, the first one leaked and had a problem with keeping the water at a steady temperature so i think i worked the kinks out. ill have pics up soon thanks for stopping by!

MINI UPDATE:
Got the 4 clones into new pots with fresh Fox Farm Ocean soil and a small layer of drainage rocks on the bottom of each pot to aid with drainage. Plants look great gave them a drop of super thrive with todays watering. I have a 3 part nutrient system coming next week, we will start the 4 clones on a strict feeding schedule once the nutes arrive. Going to try and take 9 clones from 3 plants in about 20 days. Holla!

Got the 4 clones into new pots with fresh Fox Farm Ocean soil and a small layer of drainage rocks on the bottom of each pot to aid with drainage. Plants look great gave them a drop of super thrive with todays watering. I have a 3 part nutrient system coming next week, we will start the 4 clones on a strict feeding schedule once the nutes arrive. Going to try and take 9 clones from 3 plants in about 20 days. Holla!

ok so both the plants are starting to turn greenish yellow and lots of fan leaves are falling off, i suppose this is normal as both plants seem to be doing it now, before it was just plant #1 and plant #1 has always been a little older than plant #2 so now that i see plant #2 finally turning yellowish and dropping a few fan leaves is probably normal, the buds themselves look great, alot more crystal formation. buds are very sticky, the end of my microscope was covered in resin when i was lookin at the thric's. They are very cloudy on plant #1 and about 50/50 clear/cloudy on plant #2 i think plant #1 will come down in 9 days and the other may come down a week after. Heres a few shitty pics to hold you over

VEG ROOM
Ok so i got some good and bad news, ill give you the good news first to soften the blow.
My [URL="http://www.blueplanetnutrients.com"]Blue Planet Nutrient Elite[/URL] 3 Gallon Trio came today. Thanks Corey!
The caps were taped shut for no spillage, i remember some one saying their room smelled strong from the nutrients but i don't seem to notice it at all. 3 Gallons should last me a little while! we mixed up a 5gal reservoir with a half strength dose of crazy growth mixture so we gave it 5ml to every gallon (instead of 10:1) that means 25 ml total in the 5 gal reservoir and also approximately 2.5ml of Liquid Bloom Booster. Threw an air stone in it and put the cover over it. we didnt want to feed today because they were already watered and (here comes the bad news) The plants were showing some kind of problem about 2 days ago i didnt know about, but i was just informed today. all the plants seemed to have the lower branches turn brownish and all the leaves sag down so the plants looked like Ti-pee's. We did transplant the plants into different pots less than a week ago so it could be transplant shock. After the transplant i did put a small amount of superthrive in the watering not sure if i put to much in, can you fuck your plants up from giving a tad to much superthrive? heres a picture a leaf that was saved to show the discoloration, i cant tell what it is im not that good at diagnosing plants can any one guess? 
I mean we kinda have been stressing them a bit with the topping and transplanting and what not but i think its the transplant shock that caused it not sure. they seem to have recover a bit. one of the plants is still kinda droopy as seen in this pic  but the rest look ok.
In this picture you can see where the lowered dead foliage was
ok and my last main concern is im pretty sure i am seeing early signs of sex on EVERY plant in my tent. There is small white hairs coming from almost every node, some of them have turned brown and withered up. im afraid that they may have gotten tricked into flowering and i don't know how, is it because we took the clones so late to the flowering stage that they thing they should be flowering right now or something? i checked the timer and the lights are still on a 18/6 schedule. I'm a little concerned about this, not sure if you can see the white hairs in the pics but they are their, any one have any thoughts?
    
We will probably feed the plants within the next week, depending on what happens with them. i hope they are not fucked up ill keep y'all updated!
PS: the more i am thinking about it im wondering if its because i didn't sterilize the pots and drainage rocks before re-potting my plants, there must be some kind of chemical on the pots and/or some chemical or an ABUNDANCE of nutrient in the drainage rock dust. The roots got tampred and with and probably damaged alot because i tried to shake alot of the old soil out of the rootball. Just a thought.....

well i saw the plants today, they look a hell of a lot better, plus we got another 4' 80w florescent light in there so we have 222w of light in there right now, all florescent. using 6500k and 3000k spectrum. most of the dead foliage fell off and is gone, the plants are looking greener, so we gave them a half strength scheduled dose of BPN nutrients. well keep ya updated!

ok so i have some big news, Drum Roll Please :37:

WE CUT DOWN THE BITCHES TONIGHT!!!!!
A few days ahead of schedule but they are looking prime. we were running out of vertical room as well they were gettin close to the light and alot of the leaves were turning brown and yellow and falling off. the buds themselves look great, cloudy thc covers the whole bud giving it a frost effect. the calyaxs are swollen the fuck up and most the hairs are redish. We cut them down at the base right near the soil, then we hung them upside down in the flower tent, turned off all the lights and running the 6'' outake fan 24/7. We plan on keeping them in there till monday then we will do our triming and then cut the buds off at the stem and let them sit in a pizza box, each plant will get its own pizza box, then we will monitor them for the next few days and when the stem is almost at the point where it breaks in half we will put the nugs in 2 mason jars and continue to burp them once every 12 hours until needed. So excited about what is going on. I am so happy that we came this far. Here are some before and after pics!

Question : Does it matter what part of the light cycle you chop it down at? i know most people say to give it a day of dark but we chopped it down not more than 10 minutes after the lights shut off.

naturally i had to split the crop with my grow partner but damn does this shit look good and with a very nice high
Total weight as of now is 95.5 grams.
it is still pretty dank but still smokes very nice it may dry out a lil more but im going to keep it in jars so it wont to much.
we also smoked a bowl, and rolled 2 blunts, only smoked one though thats all we needed. Then we each threw down like 2 g for hash and all the pop corn bud we eaisly had 100g.

Ok so i didnt smoke all day to try to give a good report. i really suck with these so here it goes
Loaded up a bowl and took a hit off of it. taste earthy when you inhale. Fruity on the exhale. The bud itself is very dank it looks like its fluffy but it has alot of weight to it! one of the main colas was like almost a quarter. The high is very energetic. I got high off the one bowl but then we smoked a blunt of it and im very red eyed but i have a good head-space. its a clear headed type of high i feel like i can be active and social on it.
Very excited about this man been waiting a while to actually smoke bud i grew, and man lemme tell you it feels so good!
Made some iso hash as well with all the trim and popcorn bud plus like 5g of good bud. Well scrape it tomorrow

Well the reason people are going to contest what you just said is because the color of the trichomes is the indicator as to how ripe your plant is. So it's something that's going to let you know when the harvest times should be, which in turn can affect the type of high you get from your plants.
But then the plant you are growing will also have an influence on the type of high you get. I grew a strain out a few years back that no matter what point I harvested it at, it gave a massive couch lock stone.

The tricombs have nothing to do with weather or not you get alot of "couch Lock" the Tricombs are THC resign glads, the THC high is the cerebral type, cannabinol(CBD) is responsible for the body stone effect. Thats why most "medical" strains are indica in nature as indica's have a much higher CBD level than sativas, which have a low CBD level. though when the THC glads show the most maturity i would assume the CBD levels are at their peak as well.

Well i can say for sure, a plant that has low CBD levels will not give you more "couch lock" if harvested past maturity, CBN is not the same as CBD. CBN is more like THC, and gives the same effect as THC but not as potently(since in essence its degraded THC).
CBD wasn't even thought to be actually psychoactive until Israel started doing real research into pots medical properties.
I'm no expert though, i am going buy what i have been told and learned over the time i have been growing.

the reason you cant see the photo's is because i tried to upload them some where else so you wouldnt get mad about the 420magazine tags, but it just doesnt work. Im going to repost them and they will have the 420mag tag im sorry if it offends you in any way.

thanks those 4 plants were grown in a closet under a SCROG. Vegged them for 95 days and flowered them for 64 days under 760w of HPS and a 6'' inline fan with carbon filter. They are still curing but ill have a dry weight by this weekend

hey guys i just finished my second harvest. Its Nirvana's Pure Power Plant (PPP) that i grew from clone, there was 4 plants that were vegged for 95 days and flowered under 2 - 400w HPS for 64 days and fed with Blue Planet Nutrients and Xtreme Tea Brew. Not trying to boast or anything just wanted to show you guys my nugs!

Thank you the electricity bill was scary but it got paid on time every month.
Screen of green really helps the yield because its all huge ass nugs, well at least for this strain
also look up www.blueplanetnutrients.com the sell a great line of nutrients and the owner smokes and grows himself!!
